End of an Era
Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020 to an overwhelmingly negative reception. It was such a failed game at launch that investors pursued legal action against CD Projekt Red. Then, amid a huge and ongoing expenditure, Cyberpunk 2077 was pulled out of the gutter by the team, and hundreds of millions of dollars turned it around for the better. By the time Phantom Liberty was released in 2023 (the game’s only expansion), Cyberpunk had come to be regarded as one of the most iconic rags-to-riches stories in gaming history.
The recent financial report published by CDR confirmed that not a single developer is left working on Cyberpunk 2077. This is the first time in over a decade that nobody is supporting the game at CDPR.
Cyberpunk 2077 ended on a high note. It won a BAFTA Award for the ‘Best Evolving Game’ and secured a whopping 95% positivity rating on Steam, a remarkable number by all accounts – especially when little more than two years ago, the game boasted around a 50% positivity rating.

2024.05.29 01:51 sourgummywormz123 Bought too much house?

Bought a house a year ago for 280k, was pressured into it with the promises of buying now & refinancing when rates drop. I gross a little over 50k and partner grosses about 40k. Our taxes just went up 200 a month after already feeling stretched thin with a 2150 payment (7.2% interest) on top of high childcare & insurance costs. There's a strong possibility of them going up even higher in the future (school is trying to pass a levy, and the auditor website shows our house at a way lower value than what we were appraised for).
I have about 120k in the bank in CD & high interest savings. We're realizing now that being house poor and spending exactly what we make each month isn't worth where we live or the school district we "had" to be in. Is it worth finding a lower cost house by at least half because the loss would make up for it in the end? Or should I put down a big chunk of my savings and hope the payment changes some? It seems a refinance / recast is going to be farther away in our future because interest rates are exactly where they were a year ago.

2024.05.29 00:33 Powerful-Win4027 Continue Extra Mortgage Payment or Put Elsewhere?

Hi all,
Question on potentially putting extra mortgage elsewhere. 51 year old making $97,000 a year. Currently have a $150,000 balance on a 2.99% 25 year mortgage and have been putting an additional $320 per month towards it. Maturity date is 09/2045 and have always been minimum of $200 extra towards it and for the past 2 years have been putting $320 a month towards it.
Have $500,000 total in 401k, with $88,000 in Roth 401k and the remainder in traditional. Current mix is 4% in traditional with 4% company match (100%) and 14% in Roth 401k. My wife (47) is a teacher and has a pension (not sure the amount). We've opened a Roth IRA and put $75 a month into for her and it's at $3,000. I'm hoping to retire when I'm 65 and my wife will get a full pension if she retires at 67. No debt besides the house and a car loan of $18,000 at 4.9%. Have an emergency fund of $15,000 and a HSA of $3000.
My original goal was to have the house paid off when I retire. I would be very close (within a handful of months) but I don't know if that's the best option any more. I wanted to do it more for peace of mind and not having to worry about a mortgage in retirement. I'm not feeling as confident about my job security as I used to. My company is looking to be sold or merge and not sure what the future holds if they do. I've been fortunate to survive prior layoffs but if the company is sold, who knows what would happen. Might find myself out of a job struggling to find work in my mid 50s.
Would I be better off taking that extra money going towards the mortgage and putting it towards retirement instead? I'm not hitting the contribution limit. At the very least, I'm going to move it a HYSA or CD since rates there are higher than my mortgage. However, I'm thinking I might be better off putting it towards retirement (knowing I would have a mortgage still while retired)?

I retired 2020/02/29 and did my claim though a VSO that was made available to us during the transition class. We just took our med record CD and the guy looked at it, did our claim for us and it was all over in less than 30 minutes. I had minimal input in the process but I was grateful for the help.
In September of 2020 I received a decision letter showing an 80% rating for the following:
  1. Evaluation of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which is currently 0 percent disabling,
is increased to 10 percent effective March 1, 2020.
  1. Service connection for eczema (claimed as skin condition) is granted with an evaluation of 30
percent effective March 1, 2020.
  1. Service connection for left shoulder impingement syndrome with rotator cuff tendonitis
(claimed as bilateral shoulder pain) is granted with an evaluation of 20 percent effective March
1, 2020.
  1. Service connection for right shoulder impingement syndrome with rotator cuff tendonitis
(claimed as bilateral shoulder pain) is granted with an evaluation of 20 percent effective March
1, 2020.
  1. Evaluation of chondromalacia patellae, left knee (claimed as left knee pain), which is currently
10 percent disabling, is continued.
  1. Evaluation of hypertension, which is currently 10 percent disabling, is continued.
  2. Evaluation of right ankle lateral collateral ligament sprain, inversion sprain, which is currently
10 percent disabling, is continued.
  1. Service connection for hearing loss (bilateral) is denied.
I was very happy with this rating as I did not expect anything near this level. I did not file any appeals or additional claims.
My last couple of years in the military I was having more and more pain in my knee, ankle and shoulders. This made it harder to keep up with a good PT routine and I started gaining some weight. This continued to escalate the first year I was out. It got more and more painful to do any exercise and I gained about 100 pounds the first 18 months or so. I started going to the VA for all my care. They diagnosed me as obese and sent me for a sleep study. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2021 and given a BIPAP machine. Since then I have taken of some of the weight but still diagnosed as obese as of my last PCM visit in 2023.
I have heard there are some changes to how Sleep Apnea claims are handled and want to get a claim in before that happens. I did an "intent to file" today on the VA website. I have read everything I can on here and dug into the CFR a few times but I just feel lost and like the clock is ticking on the sleep apnea rating.
Explain this to me like I'm five: where do I go from here?
From what I understand I could use obesity as an intermediate step between my knee/ankle/shoulder ratings to get sleep apnea as service connected. How do I do that? I have all my VA med records showing obesity and sleep apnea along with the sleep study results. I have written a personal statement about how the pain from those injuries has made it difficult to exercise which has caused weight gain and also about how the sleep apnea has affected my life and made my job more difficult.
Can someone walk me through this and tell me exactly what I need to do?

TW: pregnancy/ectopic pregnancy
I am so uneasy with my decision after the discussion with my OB this morning. He basically said he doesn’t know whats going on. I could be having twins or I could be having an ectopic and its just a waiting game. We live in a small town where it takes 20 minutes to get to the nearest hospital (with perfect traffic). He advised that i get the methotrexate shot today but its ultimately my decision. Everyone doubts the viability of this pregnancy, including me. I just can’t stomach the guilt of not having a 100% answer.
Backstory-
April 28th: Implantation bleed? CD 1? normal cycle. Heavy bleeding and clotting, which isn’t abnormal for me.
May 7th : CD 10 i got a very positive LH test, kind of early.
May 15th: LH had a stronger positive each day for the last 8 days. I decided to take an HCG test strip with the same mid day urine and it was a clear positive.
May 16th: Initial beta 1842
May 23rd: HCG 4416. No significant findings on initial ultrasound. OB advised uterine lining is thin and doesn’t appear pregnant. Informed me that they suspect an ectopic pregnancy.
May 24th: HCG 5848. OB advised methotrexate would not be ideal at this stage. I went in for emergency surgery following this appointment. They were unable to locate the ectopic pregnancy. They did find endometriosis and adhesions on my liver and tubes. They were also able to identify a corpus lutem cyst on my right ovary. Later that evening, after being sent home, I was rushed to the ER. My blood pressure was low and heart rate was high. Even though I responded quickly to fluids I was given a chest xray and 2 CT scans. All unremarkable.
May 28th: HCG somewhere in the 7500’s this morning. The exact number hasn’t posted to my patient portal yet. My OB stated that the surgeons had assumed the pregnancy was normal after their findings. If I would have known I would have not consented to CT scans at the ER in the following hours. They did another vaginal ultrasound, still no findings. Maybe some fluid in my right ovary but no comments were made on it by the tech or OB. Then we had a very confusing conversation with the OB where he stated basically anything is possible. He told me we could be in the early stages of pregnancy with multiples. (We weren’t taking any fertility medication.) or we could still be having an ectopic pregnancy. He proceeded to tell us a horror story about how a woman came in 2 weeks ago and they found her unconscious in one of their exam rooms and needed blood transfusions due to a ruptured ectopic. At the end of this appointment I scheduled a methotrexate shot for 3:30 this evening. I had second thoughts and tried calling around for another opinion, but i cant be seen for weeks most places.
I would love to hear from anyone else with similar experiences. I want to hold on to that glimmer of hope, but I need to make the right decision for my health and future fertility.

Analysis

Carrier adjustments due to Red Sea diversions – the use of more vessels traveling at faster speeds, together with heavier reliance on transhipment – for the most part succeeded in keeping containers moving on schedule through March and April. But alongside the success were gradual signs that carriers were falling behind: pockets of congestion, increases in port omissions, delays and missed departures, and a decrease in empty equipment at export hubs.
With demand stable in those months carriers had just enough capacity and equipment to keep the market balanced and rates elevated but level. But as ex-Asia demand unexpectedly picked up in May – reflecting the likely start of restocking in Europe and the early start of peak season on the transpacific due to concerns over Red Sea or labor-driven delays later in the year – congestion has worsened and these supply side deficits began to be felt in the form of empty equipment shortages in Asia, rolled containers and spiking rates.
Asia - N. America spot rates to the West Coast are approaching $5,000/FEU – about their peak when prices initially spiked due to the Red Sea crisis early in the year – and have increased nearly 70% from their April floor.
Rates to the East Coast and N. Europe have each increased about 50% in May, though they remain below their February highs, with intra-Asia rates climbing and surcharges pushing up prices on secondary lanes as capacity and equipment tightens. If these market conditions persist, rates are likely to climb past their Q1 highs on additional June GRIs and surcharges.
Shippers could be facing months of very elevated rates and increased delays as higher demand combines with restricted capacity, but the duration and scale of these disruptions and price spikes could be less severe than those unprecedented impacts seen during the pandemic for a couple reasons.
The main driver of pandemic disruptions was the unrelenting, record surge in demand. This demand quickly outstripped vessel supply and then overwhelmed ports leading to record congestion that only made the problem worse and worse, further restricting capacity, increasing delays and pushing rates ever higher.
This time, volumes are increasing but not surging, and there’s no reason to expect that they will. According to the National Retail Federation, during an 18-month stretch in 2021 and 2022 US import volumes averaged 2.21 million TEU per month and surpassed 2.3 million TEU twice. May through September volumes this year, meanwhile, are projected to average 2.05 million TEU per month and peak at 2.1 million in September.
These are volume levels US ports should be able to handle, not only because they are lower than during the pandemic but because strategies developed during the pandemic to avoid congestion from volume surges, like off-port container yards, are already in place. So increases in demand, delays, congestion and empty container shortages should push rates up, but shouldn’t be a challenge that keeps compounding upon itself like during the pandemic.
In addition, if the demand increase is the early start of peak season, then we can expect demand-side pressure to subside in a few months and earlier than usual. Just as rates climbed on a combination of pre-Lunar New Year demand and restricted capacity in the first months of the diversions and subsided once demand eased, prices and disruptions should decrease when peak season slows this time as well, though until Red Sea traffic resumes, we can expect rates to fall no lower than their April floor.

My 76 yr old mother fell down the stairs at her house and broke her neck. She will be wheelchair bound.
I bought her a new single level, elevator accessible condo with a mortgage. Mortgage rate is 7.75%
I have enough in Certificate of Deposits to cover the cost of the condo outright, but the CDs mature in August. The CD rate is 4.8%
I have no other high interest debt. Credit cards and cars are all paid off and owned outright. The mortgage on my own residence is 2.8%
Based on these rates, I think I want to ditch the mortgage on the condo and keep the mortgage on my primary.
Any time I've bought property, I've been told NOT to pay the mortgage off within the first year because it's a bad loan or something to that effect.
Will paying off this high interest rate mortgage mess up my credit?

Interested in your thoughts. A few five year CDs with call protection at 4.7-5% seems like a decent risk free situation for money I don’t need right now.

Hey guys, windranger spammer here and I would like some thoughts on Windranger's Facet. In case you didnt know, her facets are:
  1. Tailwind: Windrun grants 15% bonus movespeed to herself and allies within 700 radius.
  2. Whirlwind: Changes her old Focus Fire to become a no-target ability. She starts shooting 7/9/11 arrows per second at random enemies within her attack range. Damage of these arrows is reduced by 30%. When the enemy is hit, they can't be targeted again for the next 3 shots. Duration: 8s. Prioritizes heroes
Thoughts on Tailwind:
Its amazing on support WR as it boosts the chase and disengage potential of your team. Extremely useful in almost all stages of the game, be it during the laning phase or during fights. With a 6s max duration and 12s cooldown, you basically have a poorman's drums every 6 second (3.5s with the windrun cd talent). I've been building drums with this facet and your teams zooming in and out of fights. If you have a shard, you have really strong space control with this build.
Thoughts on Whirlwind:
I've only tried it once as a pos 4 WR. I built a mage slayer because my theory is she becomes an AOE source of a 40% spell damage reduction for 8s during teamfights. However, my laning stage becomes a bit underwhelming if i dont choose tailwind. Additionally, it forces me to be in the middle of teamfights which WR doesnt really like since she's squishy as a support. I'm thinking the built is much better on a pos 3 WR. My theory is the build should go: 2x Bracers -> Maelstrom -> Mageslayer. Having a grovebow and dragonlance increases the AOE plus the AOE magic resistance debuff synergizes well with this build.

Looking at D2PT, Tailwind has a 76% pickrate and a 54% win rate while Whirlwind has a 24% pick rate and 43% win rate. It seems to me the tailwind is the better build but I feel like the whirlwind build has potential. Any thoughts?

Little late on posting, as it's morning here. Slept well last night! Maybe not enough, but it was good sleep. Or I'm not stressed. My watch says it was kinda crap sleep but I feel fine. Time to tackle the day! After packing up and heading outside, first order of business was going to the cute coffee shop I found. This one was in a shopping district and was all white accents and pale wood. Very Instagram. They served excellent coffee and toast though, the hard boiled egg I had had a deep orange yolk that I deeply appreciated.
Next was to go to the old Sapporo factory as we wanted to check out the Mont Bell factory outlet here. Arriving we found that the old factory was converted to a mall with an enormous atrium in the middle covered with arched glass over a garden space dotted with cafes. Snaking around the main floor and up the stairs to the upper levels was a line of well ordered girls all standing in line for... Something. Maybe a CD from a band? There must have been a thousand of them! All dressed up too, I was sweating on the upper levels of the mall as the glass roof made for a serious greenhouse, I don't know how these girls in full length dresses and wool garments were surviving.
We found the Mont Bell outlet and were a little disappointed in the selection. Looked to mostly be products and sizes that weren't selling in the main store. Should be called the clearance section, the deals weren't even very good. We bit the bullet and went to the main store where we got supplements for our big ride like energy gels as well as some new gloves since all I have is fingerless riding gloves. Would like something a bit more weather resistant. I also got a cute t-shirt from Mont Bell. We shopped around a bit more, a little amazed that fully half of the mall space was devoted to camping and camp related clothing. Camping is big fashion here, if you have the biggest tent shelter thing and Yeti coolers while wearing North face you are indeed the bee's knees.
Biking to the modern Sapporo factory we went to the restaurant and had lunch. They forgot half our order but what they did bring was quite good. We went for the tour next, which Bryce was very excited for. The tour turned out to be more of a history lesson on how the brand came to exist (spoiler: Meiji restoration project to forestall colonialism, same as ever) but Bryce was just tickled by the experience. I enjoyed the story and the moving film they made about it, and we both liked the tastings after. They served us two glasses of beer, one a modern and popular Sapporo beer and the other a recreation of the original recipe that launched the brand. While the difference wasn't vast, it was interesting to hear how the cloudiness came from incomplete filtration and the slight bitterness was a huge improvement on the beer of the time. The English style beers must have been pretty gross. I was hoping we'd see more production lines and the actual factory, but it seems it was not to be. Satisfied with our afternoon excursion, it was time to make our way to our evening stay. Bryce booked a glamping experience, which he's wanted to do since the start of the trip and we could both use a bit of a pampered experience after the distance we've covered. The 10km to the spot was easy but slow as we had to cross Sapporo. The lights here are as bad as anywhere else in Japan. We stopped for a bite to eat and to stock up on snacks and drinks for the hot tub before getting to the hills where the place was located. Naturally it was at the top of a steep hill, which my poor calves just did not want to do on a day off. We both huffed up the hill before finally finding a barrel sauna by the side of the road, signaling that we had arrived.
Up on the steep embankment we found a platform structure with a indoor space, a hot tub, some nice chairs and another sauna way up in the back, all flanked by two sleeping domes. We left our bikes down below while we explored the place, but quickly our host noticed us and brought our bikes up the remaining hill for us, saying that they were pretty heavy. We were shown to our dome (the "princess suite") and were invited to enjoy and relax. We put our drinks in the fridge and did just that, getting in the hot tub overlooking the city far below. It had already started to cool off by the time we arrived, so the hot water was comfortable against the cool evening air. This was the first jacuzzi hot tub with chlorine we've seen here, but I guess building an onsen bath out of stone on a DIY platform would be a bit heavy. I noticed a bunch of balloons and stars tied up and smiled as Bryce told me he had sent advance word of my birthday celebration. A lovely touch.
After some relaxing and reading on the chairs, it was time for dinner. Our host brought out a plate of vegetables for grilling, including what he could only describe as "mountain vegetable", a somewhat spinach like green with a strong herby flavor that I recognized from nights of camping under bridges. I thought it smelled good underfoot. We also had corn, rice, soup, a bacon-like cut of pork, two enormous sirloin steaks from Hokkaido and the famous Ghengis Khan, which is the name for lamb here ("Jingiskan"). We had to look up why this name stuck, as far as we can tell lamb hasn't been around in Japan for very long and the plaque we saw at the sapporo brewery restaurant told us that restaurants serving all you can eat meat popularized the cut based on public perception that Mongols were mutton eaters. Our host had no idea, at any rate.
Before our host started cooking, he brought out a little surprise, a bottle of champagne for us. How nice! We enjoyed that while he started the charcoal grill and proceeded to methodically cook the enormous pile of food in front of us, interspersed with questions and answers from both sides about our respective countries. We learned that our host was a retired Army recon soldier and that he had built everything here himself. He busied himself with importing the barrel saunas and domes (which he assembles himself) and distributing them in Japan. Maybe this guy is the reason there's so many glamping setups in Japan.
While the bacon and lamb were delicious, the sirloin was surely the treat of the night, very tender and delicious. The servings were truly enormous, even I had a hard time finishing everything. It was a wonder the composting toilet that this place was equipped with could handle people eating food named after tyrannical despots. For dessert there was even little tins of creme brulee, my favourite dessert. Nothing we had was particularly fancy, but it was all prepared by a man who had the air of a doting uncle having you over to his project space and wanted to show you all the stuff he had built there and cook you dinner. It was very charming and not fussy like some of the real fancy places we've been.
After dinner our host excused himself after tidying up and we hit the hot tub and later the wood fired sauna once it warmed up. Bryce especially loved the sauna, taking cold showers periodically. I just can't bring myself to do the cold plunge, I preferred to just sit on the bench outside the sauna and observe the city view in the cool night air. Seemed to do the same thing but without the awful shock that I hate. Bryce kept stoking the fire and I was truly loopy after awhile. We had a big bottle of water to hydrate with, and after another round of hot tub and sauna again we were about ready to turn in.
The dome was lovingly furnished with white and wood accents, a carved wooden screen by the door partitioning off the two single beds with silk blankets. A crystal chandelier hung off-center from a node in the dome structure, our host laughing a little bit when he pointed that feature out. I got the feeling the "princess suite" was a little funny but I liked the little touches. A foot pump sink and an extension cord was what we got for services, but we could ignore that for the small carpeted area with two fur covered chairs looking out the transparent wall to the lovely unobstructed view of the city below. We sat in the chairs and enjoyed that view in the dark for quite some time before turning in, the soft beds an anomaly in this land of board-stiff mattresses.

I am engaging in a project to learn the whole E2E process of bootstrapping, launching, and marketing a business as a solopreneur. The product is a search and recommendation website for a niche genre of books. You can think of it as the "perfectly tailored GoodReads alternative" for my niche.
The goal is to learn the whole process. I am a backend cloud engineer with no experience on the frontend. I don't know if I will make money, but the real value is the real world education.
Question
So this is the question: what are your recommendations for the tech stack? I want to keep it as simple as possible and no more.
Backend
I already have an idea of the backend: it will be hosted in AWS with Lambda for compute, Step Functions for workflows, S3 for raw data storage, serverless Aurora PostgreSQL for database layer, Cognito for authentication, and fronted by AppSync with a GraphQL API. I have only ever built REST APIs, but GraphQL seems more suited for my use case. Rate limiting and API protection will be handled by WAF.
Search queries are handled by the pgvector extension for PostgreSQL to perform hybrid lexical and semantic search, combined with customized relevance tuning and reranking on the results (possibly using machine learning). Users can add filters and tags. Not sure how to do user recommendations yet.
I am only familiar with AWS so I choose to leverage their services as much as possible. CI/CD and source hosting will use GitLabs. The backend stack will probably be iterated on over time.
Frontend
This part is important, and I don't think I can outsource it because I need to iterate on it. It needs to have a good UI, be aesthetically pleasing, be SEO friendly (I think) and should have a blogging section.
I am currently looking at frameworks like Tailwind CSS + Vue.js, served via CloudFront, with ShadCN UI components (I am a terrible designer). But there is also stuff like WordPress, various paid website templates, no-code builders like Webflow, Squarespace, etc. I don't know if I need CMS.
Then I also need to track marketing stuff--where my users are coming from, what my ROI on different mediums is, etc.. I think Google Analytics can be embedded as a script for this? And I might need a CRM (does that go on the frontend?)
I probably don't need all this stuff right away, but I should choose my tech wisely enough for the frontend to be easily iterable and extensible. My goal is to build an MVP that doesn't a total redo in production due to bad design decisions.

TL;DR: Are 27" 1080p panels worth it for office/web use and rarely media consumption? OR is that too much of a size for that resolution? So why are Nepalis buying those in droves? My eye to monitor distance is about 1.5-2 feet.
Hey guys,
My almost 15 year old 22" 1080p AOC F22 TN Monitor is starting to show dead pixels, spots, vignettes all over and am in the market for a budget 1080p monitor. My use is basic office use and some media consumption. Almost no gaming.
I ordered an MSI MP251 24.5" IPS (compared to others, had a slightly larger size for 100Hz refresh rate for a price around Rs 18,200) but cancelled the order promptly once I figured out that it isnt true 8 bit per RGB channel (total 24 bits - 16.7 million colors), but what they call 6 bit + FRC (where pixels change color rapidly to create an illusion of color gamut) - so no true 16.7 million colors. Since my current dying panel is the same 6bit + FRC (where I can notice lack of color gamut in many videos/shades), 8 bit is an upgrade requirement.
BenQ 22" GW2283/24" GW2480 monitors also seemed a good overall package (had speakers too - decent enough for office use) -- but counted them out since I discovered they were also only 6 bit + FRC and not true 8 bit. And the MI monitors in the range I'm not too keen on because they lack VESA mounting support - in case I need it down the line (desktop monitor arm OR a wall mount)
I look over at Daraz and I see that the most popular monitors in the larger size ranges (going by the number sold) are a 27" Dell S2721HN (450+ sold), and another 24" Dell S2421HN thats sold about half as much (~250). These are IPS - good viewing angles in case I want to use them for movies/YouTube, while the monitor is on my desk and I am on a lower level on my bed.
The 27" is about Rs 24,000 and the 24" is about Rs 20,500. For coloetc the monitors seem the same as far as mentioned official specs go, although the 27" is 300 cd brightness vs 250 for the 24" (somewhere I read that that difference is made moot by the display size, because the maximum brightness is only achieved in a small section of display at any given time).
Most reviews on the internet say that 27" 1080p is too pixelated for texts, web, etc at a typical eye-to-monitor distance. They say the largest is 24" that you should go for. But our market seems to be responding differently - they going for much larger sizes with same resolution, probably thinking that size is the most important.
Whats the opinion here at technepal? Any experience with anything similar?
EDIT: Can't afford 1440p monitors - too expensive for me right now!

Hi Low Sodium Helldivers, first time posting here. I have been analyzing the weapons/stratagems of the game and thinking what could be done to the most unused weapons/stratagems of the game so they could also be a cool and interesting option to add to our arsenal.
Aside of the bugs that some weapons have and that make them not work, and they should (Spear Lock on, misaligned scopes, super big red dots that doesn't allow you to aim properly) there are still some weapons that in my opinion need to be improved, either through some buff or reworking the weapon to something different. Here is the list of the things that I think that really need some improvement so they start to be more used stratagemsin the game.

AR-23P Liberator Penetrator

Now that we have the Adjudicator being a mid penetration armor assault rifle completely eating the position of the Liberator Penetrator as automatic mid penetration asault riffle, I think that its time to change the Liberator Penetrator back to a only burst fire weapon, but increasing its damage and reducing the recoil of the burst bullets, but increasing it between bursts, making the burst of bullets go very close together and the recoil blow comes after the burst.
Battlefield have some weapons like that and worket super well, as you knmow that the burst was going to go to a precisse point, and the difficult part was then to re-aim for a second burst. Something similar to Halo Battle Riffle.

AR-23C Liberator Concussive

Even with the damage buff this weapon continue being pretty bad, the concussive effect is good and usseful but the damage per magazine is so low that added with the slow fire rate you are not able to deal with the enemies that are in front of you.
A possible balance could be to increase the damage even more (maybe 85-95), but redducing the fire rate a bit, so the total damage per magazine goes up without increasing the DPS of the weapon too much. This would maintain the concusive main function of the weapon over the DPS but providing more total damage per magazine, being closer to what the basic Liberator can do.

MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun

The recent change that added a 3rd person reticle to the weapon has been great and have made the weapon playable (now we can aim without blinding ourself with the flash of the gun in first person mode), but the weapon still have too few bullets per magazine. Increasin the bullets per magazine at least to 100 per mag would improve the weapon a lot. Other option would be to increase the mags from 2 to 3, so the total bullets would be increased the same amount (75).

R-36 Eruptor

This weapon was still great after the first nerf to the total magazine capacity as it was something not really noticeable, but due to a bug they have had to remove the sharpnel feature of this weapon, which affected the power of the weapon, but overall made the weapon not feel the same anymore, so hopefully we got the bug fixed and the sharpnel feature added back to the weapon.

Thermite Grenade

This grenade can be used to spam all your grenades into a big enemy/bot cannon tower and destroy it, but aside of that it feel really underwelming.
I think that this grenade could be great if it could break the enemy armour if you hit 2 thermite grenades in the same spot. Example: Throwing 2 thermite grenades in a charger leg could break their leg allowing us to skill them with out main weapon (allowing us to kill 2 chargers if we hit all our grenades in the right spot, or 3 if we have engineer passive), opening more posibilities of loadouts as our grenade slow would work as anti-tank weapon.

CB-9 Exploding Crossbow

This weapon need a complete rework to give it a purpose and a function in the game, so not much to say about it.

Machine Gun Sentry

The Machine Gun Sentry is outclassed by the Gatling Sentry, both stratagems have 180 seconds of cooldown and the same stats, the only difference is that the Gatling Sentry have more available ammo and more fire rate, which makes the Machine Gun Sentry a worse version of the Gatling one.
A possible solution to this problem would be to reduce the Machine Gun Sentry CD, changing it from 180 seconds to 120 seconds (or even 90 seconds), and reverting the HP buff of the Machine gun Sentry we got in the last patch.
This way in one hand we would have the weaker and less durable Machine Gun Sentry but with a lower CD making it more spammable and in the other hand we would have the stronger and more resistent Gatling Sentry but a longer CD, being a more powerful version but with the limitant and using it less times per game.

E/MG-101 HMG Emplacement

This stratagem its pretty good, it have a higher penetration of what it seems and its able to kill a lot of enemies pretty easy and fast, like Automaton Hulks that die with a few shoots in the visor.
The only problem it has is that the HMG emplacement is not counted as a sentry so its not affected by the Ship Sentry upgrades which means that this stratagem doesnt have:
  • 50% Health increase
  • 50% Ammo increase
  • Rotation speed increase
  • 50% explosive damage reduction
And the on Ship upgrades the HMG Emplacement receives are:
  • 10% CD redduction
  • Deployment time removed
The HMG Emplacement would improve a lot if it could be benefited by all the Sentry upgrades, righgt now its not a bad option but it is lacking precisely in the points that turret upgrades improve, ammo capacity, rotation speed, general health and explosion resistance so it doesn't blow up with one random bot missile.

Supply: Backpacks

As an additional topic, I think that all the backpack stratagems could get benef by the backpack action button, which right now is ony ussed by the supply backpack (pressing 5 on K&M or d-pad down on controller to refill yourself with ammo).
Looking at the other backpacks I noticed that practically all the backpacks could benefit from having an additional feature by pressing that button, so I did a list of what additional feature I would add to each backpack stratagem by pressing the backpack button.
All the other backpacks could be benefited by this function having a special action for each backpack stratagem, so I did a list of what additional feature I would add to each backpack stratagem by pressing the backpack button.
  • B-1 Supply Pack: Resupply yourself
  • AX/AR-23 "Guard Dog": Activate/deactivate the guard dog so you can go stealthily
  • AX/LAS-5 "Guard Dog" Rover: Activate/deactivate the guard dog so you can go stealthily
  • LIFT-850 Jump Pack: Change jump mode from normal to vertical, to reach elevated positions in a easier way
  • SH-32 Shield Generator Pack: Break the shield so it starts the re-charge process without having to wait for an enemy to break it
  • SH-20 Ballistic Shield Backpack
    • If you are standing and using a one handed weapon, you will put the shield in your back. Perfect example
    • If you are crouched, you will nail the shield into the ground, creating temporary cover, strong hits or explosions will send the shield flying.
    • An ally can approach someone using the shield and press the action key to attach to him (like in co-op reloads) and follow him while covering behind the ally's shield. This action will be cancelled if the shield player stop covering himself with the shield or move too fast
What do you think about this ideas? There is some more that you would add or that you would do different?
