I'm the creator of the webcomic "The Wild Blue" (ThWiBl for short), and I'm looking for some volunteers to help give me feedback on my story content and critique each new episode as I complete them. We would be using a discord server as the main communication hub.
The Wild Blue is a slice-of-life sci-fi comedy/drama following an ensemble cast attending The Cyrian Flight Academy, the top flight school in the galaxy. The cast all experiences their own forms of culture shock from life at the academy, and the way they've lived their lives up to that point is constantly being challenged in wacky and sometimes heartbreaking ways. Later on in the story, hints of corruption at the academy begins to paint a different picture of the formerly idyllic setting of the story, and that further exposes that the world of The Wild Blue may not be as utopian as it may have seemed. The story is commentary on high society, the dangers of blind loyalty to one's family and the worldviews given to you by your upbringing.
The world the story takes place in is sci-fi, but the ground-level setting of the comic is very contemporary to keep things relatable to the audience.
The art style for ThWiBl is primarily made from 3D assets to speed up production time, with characters created in VRoid studio. The characters' facial features are drawn over the models, to maintain a hand drawn feel. This has been a point of contention for some, but I spent 5 years drawing my last webcomic every day and I was pretty burnt out, so I needed to streamline the process this time around.
ThWiBl currently releases differently on different platforms. The story is released in chapters on platforms like Tapas and Webtoon, but on social media like Facebook and Instagram, the chapters are split into smaller episodes, labeled as subchapters, (eg chapter 13.2, chapter 13.3, etc), each made up of 8 slides and a title card. The episodes release every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but I complete new episodes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
At the time of writing this, I'm currently working on chapter 62.8, which is the 313th episode, so there would be some catch up required if you're not already familiar with the series. I'm also very far ahead of schedule, so that early access can be given to my Patreon supporters. My goal is to reach the end of the story by chapter 150.
As an editor, I would be looking for story feedback, constructive criticism on the overall plot, character development, pacing, and dialogue, as well as a sounding board for future plotlines. I'll also be looking for detailed feedback on each individual episode, focusing on things like narrative flow, engagement, and any inconsistencies. Despite being silly and wacky on the surface, each character is fully fleshed out with their own perspectives and motivations informed by their childhoods and the traumas that they experienced therein, so someone who likes to look deeper into character motivations beyond what's on the surface would be preferred.

That way they will be more solid. You can draw all cards according to the sample: (Pt 2) Note that item cards are double sided. The face is the item itself while the back is the explanation what that item does: (Pt 3-4)
To shoot you need to announce who you will shoot. After that open the top card of the shotgun deck and put it into the discard pile face up. (Pt 8) (If a player didn't announce the person he shoots he automatically shoots himself) If you shoot yourself with a blank your turn continues, else your turn ends. (If you used handcuffs on your opponent your turn will continue no matter what) IMPORTANT RULE! At the first turn of every load the player can use only 1 item. After that players can use unlimited amount of items. You take turns shooting. After the shotgun deck runs out of cards repeat steps 2-4. Instead of step 5 the order of the players will continue. For example: The last round in the chamber was blank and the player 1 shot himself. This means that in the next load he will go first. The game ends after a player runs out of health. That player loses and the other wins. That's all folks :) Have a good game!

Look, I've put in my time with RPGs, from the hardcore sandbox survival of Kenshi and Outward to the classics like Baldur's Gate and Elder Scrolls. I'm no stranger to grinding for loot or min-maxing my character builds. Believe it or not, I had never heard of this series and am a complete stranger to Japanese games (western themed or otherwise), so I dove into Dragon's Dogma 2 blind, figuring it'd be another cool game to add to my list. And don't get me wrong, there's a lot to like here – the combat is like nothing I’ve ever seen in another medieval-fantasy RPG, the monsters are straight out of a fever dream, and the whole "gotta pack your lunch for the journey" mechanics are kinda neat.
But then... the world started to feel small. Like, really small. You've got this massive map, but half of it's just water you can't cross, (don’t even get me started on the brine mechanic) and the rest is basically a series of winding paths. You try to wander off the beaten path, BAM, cliff face or unscalable mountain. It's like the whole world is just a theme park with invisible walls. And the landmarks? Tiny. Forests you could clear with a weed whacker, canyons that barely qualify as ditches. It makes the whole place feel claustrophobic, like a diorama instead of a living, breathing world. It's like exploring a model train set, except the only thing to do is walk along the tracks.
And the monsters? They're everywhere, all the time, no matter what you do. You clear out a den of goblins, head back to town for a quick task, and on the way back it's like they've instantly respawned, ready for round two. Seriously, do these things reproduce asexually or something? It makes zero sense, and it breaks any kind of immersion. You're telling me nobody in the capital notices the cyclops doing jumping jacks outside the city gates?
Then there's the camping thing. Look, I get it, resources are scarce, we need to be prepared. But why do I need both a campfire and a camping kit to get make a camp? Just let me pitch my tent wherever I want with a camping kit, or force me to seek out a preexisting campsite, not both.
And the gear restrictions? Come on. I'm a warrior, not a fashion model. Why can't I wear a pair of leather pants if I want to? And why can't my archer pawn carry a dagger for close encounters? It's like the game devs are playing dress-up doll with my characters. Let me customize my playstyle, within reason.
Don't even get me started on the lack of multiplayer. This game is begging for co-op, and it's just... not there.
So yeah, I'm frustrated. I want to love this game, I really do. But these design choices are making it hard. Maybe I'm just not seeing the bigger picture, maybe there's some hidden genius I haven't uncovered yet. But right now, it feels like a missed opportunity.

Hello typing! I just joined this sub today.
I recently built my first ever keyboard (although I still have yet to finish the lubing + modding stage as the rest of the stuff I need haven't arrived yet), and doing so many tests on monkeytype recently to test both performance and sound has kind of reinvigorated a sense of wanting to improve my typing skills further. I used to type at an average of 100+ WPM (fastest was 120 @ 100% accuracy for about 5 minutes) back when I was 12 and my fastest now in my early 20s is 144 WPM under the same parameters, with an average of 120-130 WPM when typing 1k words at 95-97% acc.
I've never really trained for it aside from playing Typer Shark when I was way younger and my access to games was limited, but I still do see it as a useful skill. However, I do have a few questions.
Firstly, is there any real advantage for me to type even faster than I do now? Or would I just be improving for the "hobby" side of it? I'm still studying in college so I have no idea if fast typing would give me any real advantage when job hunting. Is it something that would be good to put on a resume, especially if the job would most likely involve typing up a lot of working papers?
Secondly, I noticed that the way I type might be a huge reason as to why I might not be able to type any faster. Being an avid gamer that has relatively large hands, I pretty much learned to type by letting the left hand take up the most space. I toggle caps lock every time I capitalize anything since I never liked the feeling of anchoring my pinky/ring finger to Shift even if just for one key (unless it's for symbols), and I deal with any keys on the right half of the alphas with pretty much just my right index finger.
I rarely use any other finger on my right hand, as I exclusively use my ring finger for backspace and enter, while my index does everything else. Occasionally my middle finger gets used, but not in a consistent manner.
So, would it be worth it to train away that particular habit on my right hand? Trying out the 10-finger touch typing layout feels uncomfortable because of how it feels like my fingers can tangle up with each other, and I obviously make more mistakes.

Babish has also come under fire for his sponsorships, with particular criticism over his promotion of the video game Hogwarts Legacy, considering the recent controversial statements from the series’ author JK Rowling.
Our drama starts as Babish himself takes to the sub to issue an apology for the rollout of the changes, attempting to justify and lay out the reasoning behind them.
While many are receptive to his explanation and find it sincere, others are not so ready to accept…

That's why i believe that the halo symbolism here doesn't mean them being saints here but it has 2 meaning 1. Enlightenment or reaching that state of enlightment and invested glory which makes sense bs all those characters has reached this state, gojo with the honored one moment, Kenjaku /geto being glorified and worshiped so he was put in the state of a god (Buddha) with this and therefore enlightment, toji who reached enlightment by abandoning his ce to elevate to higher state and rika reaching enlightment by becoming cursed by yuta to become the queen of curses however for rika it's abit different and I'll get into that Second section "death" :after explaining the meaning of the halo and it's connection to the characters, now we will talk about their fate...... Each and every character that has been drawn with the halo symbolism died and they were possessed, gojo rn with yuta taking his body, geto got taken by kenjaku, shibuya toji got possessed by that granny ct and rika by being cursed, they all died and got their body taken whether by ct or souls or bodies or simply being cursed, and they all died after reaching said enlightment state. Third section "rika" notice how all those halo symbols are always made of light while rika's only a flower? Rika has a flower crowned halo, flower crowns are aften symbolizes, love, fertility and purity that was used on weddings, and we know that the relationship between yuta and rika are the representation of love and purity , so rika reached enlightment /glory by her love for yuta that made her elevate to this state of glory ( becoming a cursed by yuta's curse out of love ) and is connected to yuta by a ring which also has the same symbolism and so is the halo of her being a ring as well , unlike gojo for example. Fourth section "rika and blood and gojo " in ch 180 the chapters first page was of rika with blood under here with a halo flower crown and yuta and her curse form being the dolls, under rika you can see that there are blood, we know she died and the blood means her death but it also has another meaning or shall i say a foreshadowing, only rika and gojo were represented as flowers and both of them were drawn with blood in them, gojo's flower being upside down full of blood and rika with a flower crown with blood under her, both have died and both possessed and rn both are linked together as we know rn both are linked together by yuta ( by his relationship with rika and her being a curse and gojo by yuta taking his body) and in the same picture she's holding both yuta and her curse form as dolls which represents as of rn both of them are going to die /lifeless which we have seen with yuta's original body last chapter and rika in curse form holding him. Fifth section "sukuna, death and yuta " and yeah i know that in the manga it already says that theres a probability for yuta to die after 5 minutes however it also has another probability of him being stuck in gojo body and neither options are by sukuna's hands hence why this is a theory ..... as I've mentioned before about characters and reaching enlightment, there's another character that hasn't been drawn with the halo symbol even tho he also represents enlightenment by being Buddha and all, the real buddah in this story unlike gojo's enlightment which was self-proclaimed which means it's kind of a fake Buddha in comparison to sukuna, the real one, which is why you see gojo died, killed by sukuna, the real honored one killing the fake, highlight this bs we will talk about it, as i said sukuna (the real honored one) killed gojo (the fake honored one) once and now yuta is in gojo's body which represents 2 types of fake, 1. once I graduated, I was able to join my college snap story thing and had been scrolling through stories. I had caught on to one story in particular and screen shotted it because I thought it was cool. it was a guy and his friend on their bikes on campus. I had gotten a follow request from him and accepted it bc it said it was from our college group. he snapped me shortly after, revealing himself in his uniform and dear god....anyways, we started talking and in the first week he told me a lot of gossip. we are both in the psychological field and he'd a lot to say regarding a few therapists on campus. conveniently we stumbles across a certain parent, to which I got a lot of information from Noah. he later puzzled together the pieces that I was the one that a certain therapist talked about often along with his son. we joked about it and talked it through as to what had happened between me and the therapist's son, I had nothing to hide if I wanted to actually try and putting myself out there. Noah was understanding and we left it behind.
he admitted he never expected me to be talking to him much less out of convenience that I stumbled across him on accident.

I’ve been working on this since last night when I was notified by a few AMAZING Reddit’ers, they were letting me know about someone CLAIMING to be “Jenny-Hurl”, immediately I went to the thread where this PERSON was doing quite a bit of replying, while I was reading everything she was typing, I was also reading ALL the JAIL text messages between Paul and Jenny, as well as phone calls, I wanted to thoroughly compare the 3 for similarities or differences, and it was VERY CLEAR by looking at the grammar, punctuations used, everything that was said in Reddit absolutely did NOT match, there was NOTHING similar in any way, shape or form, I knew that whoever this sick, twisted person was, it definitely wasn’t Jenny-Hurl. We were all asking for a picture showing yesterday’s date, got everything BUT that, and each one was different, and they’re ALL here in Reddit, all over the internet, readily available for ANYONE to save to their phone, to try and pass off as REAL, she got called out, every photo she posted, I debunked, that’s why the person DELETED every comment in the thread, but luckily when replying to mine it sent me email notifications each time, and shows what the person wrote in the reply each time, I don’t have access to the others members this person replied to in the thread, but you should be able to hopefully somewhat figure out what the “person’s” deleted replies to the others were.
In the folder I created to attach to this because of photo upload limit you’ll see some pictures aren’t even of the same person, some found the fountain of youth, or is like the character Benjamin Button and ages backwards..

my sister, em (fake name), talks about her best friend, let's call him matt, a lot. i never thought much of it given the fact that they do really understand each otheare close in a way that i think is really great in a friendship and em was also in a pretty long term relationship up until about 2 weeks ago. PLUS matt is married and very clearly cares about his wife endlessly so i didn't see anything necessarily romantic there.. until this weekend.
for a little context i live in a different state than my sister so i didn't meet matt in person until this weekend at em & matt's graduation. matt got married to his wife, becca, a little over 6 months ago (i think), but they've been together about 3 years. becca was at his & em's show (theater school so they had performances/shows and graduation this weekend) so i met matt & becca there. they were both super sweet so, again, i didn't think much of it as it was a pretty quick meeting before we had to head out.
graduation was early the next day and i didn't notice anything too crazy at the ceremony. there was one moment when they were taking pictures together (just matt & em) and it was very... touchy, but again i think physical touch is a really nice thing to have in fully platonic relationships so, yet again, i didn't think much.
me, em, becca, and matt decided to go get lunch. we had a pretty good conversation flow, very comfortable energy, making jokes, being normal young adult stupid. it was chill, but, as much as i adore becca as a person, she seemed to be a little disapproving of a lot of matt's "quirks". and when i say quirks i just mean stuff like forgetting little things or singing the same song on repeat around the house (the smallest things yknow) and just reading it i realize it could come off as normal relationship banter, but it did feel a little strange in the moment (and you'll understand fully why i wanted to mention the "banter" in a second).
at this point i was realizing how connected matt & em really were. potential romantic interest aside, they really mean a lot to each other and you can absolutely see it.
while the 4 of us were walking to matt's car, my shoe came untied so i jokingly told em to fix it and she responded with something about only ever untying them (kinda an inside joke with friends, but she just unties everyone's shoes when they're not looking lol). i tied my shoe and me and matt ended up walking a little ahead of becca and em. matt immediately starts talking about how em always does it to him and how she did it when they went to the park (he was chasing her around and shit. idk). and AGAIN, whatever, it's none of my business how you categorize your feelings/relationships and i have no place to tell you what your standards and wants should be in a friendship... so whatever.
but the interaction wasn't what peaked my curiosity. it was the way he was talking. and the fact that every time the conversation naturally shifted he would change the subject back to em.
he cares so deeply for his wife. really cares. but i have never felt so much fondness in someone's voice, i have never seen so much light in someone's eyes, i have NEVER seen ANYONE speak with so much adoration for someone the way i did when matt spoke about my sister.

he's also said stuff along the lines of "i love you so much i think it's unhealthy". and there was an occasion where em played matt & another mutual friend (calling him franklin) some songs she'd written. matt was like embarrassingly stunned and said he wanted to listen to her play (piano) forever and listen to her (not surprising tbh i've heard my sisters songs and she's wildly talented). franklin made a comment about how em "broke matt" and it kinda seems right because he brought up wanting to hear more of her songs completely unprompted (unless i wasn't paying attention lmao) today/yesterday

and there was absolutely zero moments where i felt like matt would do any less than go to the ends of the earth for em and enjoy doing it
in fact matt quite literally said he would drive the entire way back to our hometown just to make sure em still talks to him
friendly kinda thing? sure! but not when you're laying with your heads together and while everyone staring at stars in the sky you are LOOKING AT EMS LIPS and ur WIFE is on the other side of her head.
i honestly don't think he knows he's in love with my sister. or at least he definitely wouldn't admit it until it's not considered fucked up. but i know.

If your website is filled with center-aligned text, understand that it's generally a bad practice to do that in most cases and project descriptions are one of those cases. There's a reason the author of the article made it his #1 bad typography habit.
Center-aligned text is generally wrong because it's harder to read, as the reader's eye has to find a new starting point for each line. Because of this, it's considered to be a bad practice, so professional designers trained in typography avoid center-aligning text – except, as someone recently pointed out here on the sub, for some special cases like wedding invitations and wine bottles, as their teacher told them.
If your portfolio descriptions are center-aligned, anyone reviewing it who's trained in typography – which will be most people – is likely to see that as a lack of training in typography or a lack of following any training the designer has had. So if you want a better chance of getting hired for a design role, left-align your project descriptions.
The other two critical issues I see violated on portfolios submitted for review here on this sub are Line Length and Justification.
The maximum recommended line length, and this is not just for portfolios but for any project you create, print or digital, is 75 characters per line. Once you go beyond that, the viewer struggles to read the full text and will often skim or skip paragraphs completely.
Justification is when each line of text is forced to end at the same point on the right. I don't see many portfolios themselves using justification (probably because it's not a default), I do see it done in many projects, and done poorly.
Justification can work well, but it works best with wider blocks of text, and I often see it used on very narrow text columns in 3- and 4-column layouts on LetteA4 sized pages intended for print. And in addition to justifying wider columns of text, the settings that I see used most often only add space between each word, not each character, which gives amateurish results. Again, likely the default setting being used without question.
There's nothing wrong with having a ragged right block of text (this is the term for an irregular right margin), and in many, probably most instances, it's preferred.
Also, to be clear, there's no such thing as Left Justification and Right Justification. It's Left Aligned, Right Aligned, Center Aligned, and Justified. The terms are often used incorrectly, but Justified means what it's described to mean above.
What I often see is people following the defaults of whichever program or platform they're using and not questioning those defaults, which in my view is a bigger concern than any of the specific issues mentioned above. As designers, we're responsible for every element we put into our work so there's no justification (lame joke) for including elements that weren't given consideration.
Don't include images in your design without thinking about how they might be color adjusted, or cropped, or rotated, or modified in any other way to improve the results in whichever context they're being used.
Don't place a logo on a background that doesn't give good contrast without thinking about how you can modify the logo and/or the background to improve results. Maybe the background needs an overlay to make it slightly darker, or lighter, or less saturated. Maybe the logo should be all white, or all black, or all some other color, or it should get a subtle drop shadow or outer glow. Try different things and see which works best.
And don't just dump text into a program without looking at it objectively and considering how it can be modified to improve results – typeface, leading, tracking, alignment, margins, etc. If you don't know any of those terms, you should be looking them up immediately.

First let me give you a taste. Let me prove myself to you. You want to know if I like sugar in my coffee? Yeah, sometimes. Black is good too sometimes. You really can’t do anything wrong when you do the right thing. You will never have another argument again. Miscommunication. Escape from the only true delusions. The ones that NO ONE HAS EVER QUESTIONED. Of course it’s scary. Terrifying. Ever been in love? Ever have to raise your hand in class when everyone makes fun of you? New things are scary. No one but the successful has this lifestyle. We would change this way of things for many generations. Maybe they will never take it back this time. It’s been done before people. Listen to what they say about the hippies. They had the right message. They bought the lie. They sold out. Maybe this could be something. May not. I’m fine either way. Reddit is actively shutting me down and you know what? Ignore the death threats, I laugh, I share will friends if I think it’s worth it. I hurt peoples feelings and they love me for it. I have finally found friends. I finally stopped the abuse to was showing my husband who saw the potential in and gave me the chance become the person he needs. He just needed to wait until I was truly ready to see clearly. I’m sorry I’m not waiting until I think you are ready. That was another lie. You are to make change now. You will have motivation.  | A joint research effort of u/sc127 and u/lemonsaltwater submitted by lemonsaltwater to PolinBridgerton [link] [comments] Throughout Seasons 2 and 3, swans are a recurring theme in Colin and Pen’s story, both in terms of explicit imagery/sound and allusions to swan behavior and stories. There are so many allusions that it is clear the showrunners, and Julia Quinn,* want us to make these associations, as every detail is intentional. (\while neither of us have read the books, but based on character names, as well as references to the books on this sub, we can assume this. If you've read the books, please comment with more swan references! We do not present this as something hidden/new but rather for the fun of finding all of the references.)* The biggest allusion to swans is how swans mate for life and form into bonding pairs quite young, well before mating age. Trumpeter swans bond as young as 20 months — but then wait several years and don’t mate until at least the age of 4-7. Colin and Pen meet at a young age and form a friendship but it then takes several years for it to become romantic. Let’s plunge our beaks underwater and dive into how these associations play out for Colin and Pen individually and then as a couple. Colin’s character as a swanColin has always been a swan, even if he didn’t lean into it. It shows up in a variety of character traits throughout the seasons.Male swans are fiercely protective of their partners. We see Colin’s protectiveness over Pen show up multiple times. I did a longer post on the evolution of Colin's protectiveness a few weeks ago, but here are some scene highlights:
We'll likely see more of this in Part 2 (and various book spoilers indicate this as well). Male swans are also one of the few species of waterfowl that take an active role in rearing children. Male swans will sit on the eggs and protect them, unlike other waterfowl. In Seasons 1 and 2, Colin is often seen playing with his younger siblings. We see the male swan’s interest in child rearing most obviously in 2x02 when Eloise recoils from Daphne’s baby and Colin swoops in to tenderly and lovingly hold him. https://i.redd.it/vce8xkfeli5d1.gif Swans are known for mating for life and for being dedicated partners, unlike other species of waterfowl. Colin “My Wife” Bridgerton, hello. But even before Season 3, we see this in Season 2 when Colin is the only one in the front row who appears happy at Anthony and Edwina’s wedding, and according to Luke, Colin is actually crying because he loves love so much. He delights in love. https://i.redd.it/xgsjjbu1mi5d1.gif Afterwards, Colin finds himself somewhat depressed and “searching for answers at the bottom of his flask” after their “bungled nuptials.” For someone who sees love as "the one thing in life that holds genuine meaning," to see an engagement broken off at that point is deeply distressing. (We'll return to Anthony's wedding later.) His recurring appearance changes after his extended travels: Swans shed all of their feathers during their annual summer migration period. After his travels between S1 and S2, he returns with facial hair. After his travels between S2 and S3, he returns with new clothing. Penelope: Duck => SwanPenelope, meanwhile, needs to go through a transformation in order to become a swan.(There are a lot of motifs used for Penelope throughout the show: butterflies, cake, etc, but here we’re going to focus on ducks and swans.) Let’s start with her name. To get all Colin-season-2 for a moment, “Penelope” is believed to derive from the Ancient Greek word penelops, which means “duck.” In modern language, “pen” is the official name for a female swan. And her last name is Featherington. Something that starts as a duck and becomes a swan… that sounds a lot like the HC Andersen short story The Ugly Duckling, which is about a duck who is cast aside by society for being ugly, only to later learn that the reason it looked different was because it was actually a swan. While Colin and Pen are more likely to quote Byron than Danish fairy tales, the allusions to The Ugly Duckling are quite strong throughout Penelope’s character arc. (And indeed, fantasy plays a huge role in their worldviews.) This is directly referenced in the book: “I thought you believed in me," she said, "that you saw beyond the ugly duckling.”For a brief refresher on The Ugly Duckling, let’s take Wikipedia’s summary and annotate it: After a mother duck's eggs hatch, one of the ducklings takes longer to hatch and is bigger and perceived by the other animals as an ugly little creature. It suffers much verbal and physical abuse from its mother and siblings, and has an absent father.Penelope is the youngest of three children. From the first episode, it is clear that her mother regards her as less desirable and less beautiful than her sisters. Her father is neglectful and largely absent. She is repeatedly subject to unkind comments and treatment by her mother and sisters. To take just one example, when suitors come over to meet Marina, and her mother closes courting hour, she says “Please feel free to bid farewell to Phillipa or Prudence, or even Penelope.” (Colin is the only one to take her up on this.) Portia also insists that Penelope wear bright yellow dresses even though she herself prefers pink. Yellow is the color of baby ducks. Portia tends towards green, often in iridescent fabrics, which roughly maps to the coloring of several types of adult ducks (even females). (In the Ugly Duckling, the ugly duckling is gray rather than yellow like it’s siblings. However, they’ve taken a bit of artistic license here to reinforce the duck imagery.) It wanders from the barnyard and lives with wild ducks and geese until hunters slaughter the flocks. It finds a home with an old woman, but her cat and hen tease and taunt him mercilessly, and once again he sets off alone.We don’t have a direct literal correlation to the cats and hens, but we can interpret “leaving the barnyard” as Penelope being too early presented in society, and the “cats and hens” being the multitude of catty comments and “clucking hens” (judgmental, gossipy mothers) of society. It’s also interesting how Cousin Jack is presented quite clearly as a hunter in Season 2, and the gun rack on the wall clearly makes Portia uncomfortable. There aren’t direct references to duck hunting, yet that was a common hobby. (We admittedly don’t know anything about rifles and can’t figure out if any of them he displays on the wall are specifically for duck hunting, but would love it if someone knew!) Cousin Jack, of course, nearly destroys their family. The duckling sees a flock of migrating wild swans. It is delighted and excited but cannot join them because he is too young, ugly, and unable to fly. When winter arrives, a farmer finds and carries the freezing duckling home but he is frightened by the farmer's noisy children and flees the house. The duckling spends a miserable winter alone outdoors, mostly hiding in a cave on the lake that partly freezes over.We can read this as being when Pen watches Colin leave for Greece, and when she looks at the happy Bridgerton household. She is also too young and immature to fervently declare her feelings as she states one should. Nicola plays her as immature (the little hop when she speaks, high voice), and she is trapped in her mother’s house. The allusion of the migrating swans is also interesting as one could see all of the Bridgertons as swans who glide gracefully on the surface of society (“pretty Bridgertons”). While not all of the Bridgertons exhibit swan-like behavior, Violet and Edmund do (but more on that below). Note how in 3x02 Penelope says the place she feels the most comfortable is/was the Bridgerton Drawing Room at Sunday tea -- surrounded by the flock of swans. We could be a bit literal with our interpretation here and say that Colin’s protection of Pen with the Ruby scam is equivalent to the farmer’s care, and then is scared off not by children but his own friends. But I think we can look at it more broadly to say that Penelope goes from thinking she will be cared for — as Colin says during their dance in 2x08 — but then feels cast aside. She then spends a miserable summer alone, without Eloise or Colin. We know she was miserable by how she is dressed and carries herself in the beginning of 301: hunched over and back in an old gown with her protective helmet of curls. The duckling, now having fully grown and matured, cannot endure a life of solitude and hardship anymore. It decides to throw himself at a flock of swans, feeling that it is better to be killed by such beautiful birds than to live a life of ugliness.When we first meet her in 3x01, it is clear she has had an awful, lonely summer. She is shown in her old clothing -- notably more pink but still yellow, a sign of the impending transition -- and looking shy and hunched over. https://i.redd.it/b1fn60pwqi5d1.gif But she resolves to fully break free of her family and marry. Her first dress is iridescent emerald green — the color of peacocks, which is likely the most direct motif given she hides behind a peacock in the garden, but it is also the color of adult mallards and several other duck species. She throws herself into the fray at great personal risk rather than having to continue to live with her family of ducks that reject her. However, she is still awkward and unsure of herself. While she walks down the stairs with confidence, once she's on the floor, she's isn't fully carrying herself with confidence, and sort of slides her feet along the floor in a slouchy manner. She then proceeds to bungle her conversation with the lords who approach her. In other words, she still sees herself as an ugly duckling -- or perhaps ugly duck since she's grown. But Colin is able to see beyond that and has the first glimmers of starting to notice her as something different than everyone else. https://i.redd.it/i2dcbfb1qi5d1.gif Part 2 speculation: The Ugly Duckling is shocked when the swans welcome and accept it, only to realize by looking at his reflection in the water that it had been not a duckling but a swan all this time. The flock takes to the air, and it spreads its wings to take flight with the rest of its new family.Penelope is shocked when Colin has feelings for her, and according to the trailer, is welcomed with open arms by Violet and the rest of the swan’s family (except Eloise, who does not exhibit swan-like behaviors herself, but that's a different topic). Given the focus on mirrors so far this season, perhaps this combined mirrougly duckling/swan theme will reappear. Penelope will then integrate herself into the Bridgerton family and identify more with them, rather than her family of birth. She thus gets both self-acceptance, a husband, a loving family, and freedom all at the same time. Given the use of mirrors this season, I expect Colin will literally and figuratively help Penelope see herself in the mirror the way he sees her, in a parallel to what Colin says in S2 E2 about her letters: Your letters were so encouraging. I thought, if Penelope can see me this way, then surely I can too.A brief note on Penelope's clothing We can see hints of this in her clothing. Over Season 3 Part 1, Penelope’s clothing changes from Featherington green to Bridgerton blue. Yet in the kiss scene and Colin’s dream, she’s wearing dresses that are such light blue/green that they almost appear to be white, and she doesn't seem to wear these dresses in other scenes. (The dream one is similar to the market scene, but the sleeve detailing is different -- it's much more feathery. Hmmm.) While white dresses can imply wedding, perhaps another thread to pull here is their swan-like whiteness. The moment when they kiss is the first time it occurs to him to see her romantically, and it is also the first time he sees her in a white dress. That she is in white in his dream reinforces the idea that he sees her a swan. The first time we ever see Colin talk to Penelope is in S1 E1 after Colin visits the Featherington house during courting hour for Marina, he refers to her as Pen. He refers to her again as Pen when they dance later in that episode. The viewer sees her transition from Penelope, a duck, and then becomes Pen, a swan. But Colin has always seen her as a swan, even if he didn’t realize it. (We have not done a full analysis of the times he calls her Penelope vs the times he calls her Pen, nor of other people using her nickname.) Audio and visual swan referencesSo, Colin is always a swan, and Pen transitions from duck to swan. Several times throughout the seasons, we see direct and indirect nods to swans in terms of imagery, dialogue, and other scene elements when Colin and Pen are together.It’s notable that, as far as we can tell, swans and swan noises largely only show up when Colin and Pen are together. (There is one exception, discussed in the next section.) The most obvious is in 2x05: COLIN: After all, everyone else is finding some purpose to their lives. Anthony is to be married. Benedict has his artistic pursuits. And, well, here I am... feeding the ducks. His feelings for her aren't romantic yet. But he is really looking at a swan — Pen. And that she, not the ducks, is grateful for his company and conversation. Interestingly, quacking is heard in the background. It’s hard to say whether it’s ducks or swans — perhaps it’s intentionally ambiguous. Singing swans = courting activities? Or a shift in feelings for Colin? But let’s pull that thread a bit, as swans singing comes up several more times. Swan songs have historically had an association with death, yet “their sounds are more distinguishable during courting rituals and not correlated with death.” We could then interpret hearing swan songs as times that are courting-esque, or perhaps moments when Colin’s perspective on Penelope is starting to shift. In 2x06, Penelope has a heated conversation with Eloise about Eloise’s feelings about Theo. Eloise asks her if she’s ever felt the torment of feelings for someone, and Penelope says she could only imagine it. She then looks over at Colin and swans are heard in the background. A few moments later, when Penelope walks over to Colin for the “purpose” conversation, swans are again heard in the background. (Listen very closely as she walks over to him.) In 3x01, when Colin and Penelope talk in the garden after the presentation, swans are heard in the background as Colin looks at her while she looks away. In this scene, Colin is wearing his beautiful embroidered vest, which features a duck near the collar. It also features a parrot. (Shout out to u/EverEarthling for this amazing deep dive on the vest!) Perhaps when Colin bought this vest in Paris, he still viewed Penelope as a duck, and himself as a parrot (i.e. one who parrots the behaviors of what society expects). In 303, at the end of the Willow scene, swans are heard in the background as Penelope leaves. Swans then re-appear the Hawkins Balloon Fair. There is a giant wicker statue of a swan, decked in lilacs and light pink roses, off to the side of the balloon. (Lilacs being the favorite flower of the Bridgertons and light pink being the Bridgerton color of first love.) I noticed a huge surge in griefers and toxic people in EUW servers (low divine/high ancient) these past few days. I'm 12k behavior and communication. Is it related to overwatch not working? If i tried to quantify it, i had a griefer in my games (ally or ennemy) once in every 20 games, now it's one every 2 games. By griefers, i mean people that farm role queue tokens but don't play their role, like supports going midas first item (shout out to the pos 5 ogre that went midas and refresher, he fooled us by buying tiara first and queued hex only to buy refresher) or the mid (for some reason, it's always SF players) that rage buyback after his first death or second death if you're lucky and goes on to either feed on purpose of afk farm.
I also noticed that my communication score went up from 10.5k to 12k even though i'm sometimes annoying. VALVE PLEASE FIX

First of all, I'm writing this not to seek help, this is the worst love story I lived in my life, but I'm handling it properly. I'm writing this just because I want to share my situation, and maybe someone who is having hard times could see that and learn from my experience. Thanks !
So there is this girl [F22] who was the love of my life, from her behavior she had the same feelings for me, the thing is we had never been together because she wasn't ready (we started talking since oct 2021). The reason for that is that previously (4 years ago) a guy she was attracted to rejected her after he seemed interested in her, and so she still has ego issues with him (basically she still is trying to make him regret playing with her), the thing is that, they are still close, not close as us, but still there is something between them. Last year we broke up several times because of this same problem, at first, I didn't know she had someone, then I started noticing things from her side and she always tried to hide him, she made several mistakes (like telling me she was going to sleep just to talk to him, and more ...) until I decided to cut her definitively from my life (September 2023), I explained to her all the reasons to that, and I talked to her maturely, I didn't insult her, I didn't judge her, I didn't obligate her to cut him off, ... I just decided to cut all contact with her and move on. She wasn't ok with that but she respected my choice and told me that if whenever I want to reconnect with her I will always be welcome, but that this time she won't initiate contact with me... being no contact with her was the hardest decision I made in my life, as I said, she was the love of my life. Still, during this period, I learned so much about myself and my personality, I learned that I was insecure and didn't like myself, and more ..., but I took this chance and worked deeply on myself, I fixed 99% of my insecurities, I understood so many things about life, and I even became stoic. 1 month after no contact, she sent me an email, I didn't want to see her in my life again but I thought that maybe she had some explanations for me, so I responded to her with the idea of giving her a chance to discuss things and move on. Still, she seemed to be more interested, and she did all her best to regain my love for her, after some weeks of trying, I gave her a chance, and we met, I didn't bring up our past, neither did she, we just enjoyed our life as friends, and I was thinking that we are not obligated to be in a relationship, we can just enjoy our moments together, without flirt nor love signs. After that, we began to hang out several times a month, and we started feeling real chemistry between us (never been so close), until one day, she decided to bring up the problem that made me end things with her, and explained to me everything about her relation with the other guy (ego issues and past problems with him that made her anxious), and btw, it was the first time she opened up to me about her relation with him and her feelings towards me, that day was the best day of my life, she told me that I'm the one for her, that she always wanted to be with me in the future but couldn't because there is still this ego thing. I respected her choice, comforted her, and told her that the most important thing now for us is to enjoy our times together, but most importantly be totally honest with each other and always respectful, and I also told her that if one day she decides to go with him, it's up to her, I would respect her decision, but all she has to do is to be honest with me and tell me things, she was agreeing on that point. After this date, we became even closer to each other, her family started talking about me more and more, and everybody around would see the love we had for each other...
1 and a half months (5 days ago) after that beautiful date, we dated in public (for the first time, because she was never comfortable with that), and as always, I gave her princess treatment, and did my best again to make her happy, and she seemed to be happy and in love with me. But yesterday was the day when I marked the end of our story, yesterday in the morning she proposed me to date, I accepted of course and we were about to meet at 5.30 pm after I finished my training session, she called me at 5 pm, I couldn't answer her call, and called but basically she said that she won't be able to come, I called her back at 5.45 pm, told her that I still didn't finish my session but was about to it in a few minutes, I asked her if she could come and see me, she said that she can't. 5min later, when I went out to my car, I saw her car on the other side of the road, I was so happy because I thought that she was preparing a surprise for me when I approached her car, she immediately tried to hide by putting her face down, and guess what, the other guy was with her, in the passenger seat, he saw me and started laughing knowing how embarrassed I was, but what deceived me most is that she always told me that she can't sit in my car nor I could in hers because she wasn't comfortable in public, and I always respected her boundaries..., so I decided to go home, but then wanted to give her a chance and went back just to see what she would say, and she saw me back, the guy left the car and she was about to run, but I blocked her way and asked her calmly to open the window, she was looking at me with an angry face, I asked her that several times, but she didn't want to so I just continued my way back home. While heading home, she sent me a message in which she told me that I had no right to talk to her in that manner (tried to manipulate me), and again, I stayed calm and told her that her manipulations wouldn't work for me, that I had never been so calm in my life and that she won't fool me and reject the fault on me anymore. I told her that she was the biggest deception of all my life, that I would block her and wouldn't talk to her anymore again, but definitely, she knew her mistake but didn't want to recognize her fault, she begged me to stay with her and give her a last chance, she was lying again about her situation with him, about her behavior, and that I'm the only one she loves deeply, I told her that after all the good moments we spent together, she managed to do things that she knew the consequences of, and now she destroyed all our relation, and there would be no way for me to trust her again. I hung up the call and blocked her from everywhere.
That was the story, now in my case, I'm at ease, even though she was the love of my life, I'm not anxious about breaking up with her and losing her definitively, all that because, in the previous no contact, I worked hardly on myself and my mindset, I learned that we can't control everything, and the best things to do are to accept the situation, respect god's decision, and move on. And if you read this and you are or had previously a similar situation, don't ever take it personally, it's true that losing someone we deeply love, because of being lied to/used/cheated on,... is hard and deceiving, but their behavior towards you never represents who you truly are as a person, to give you an example, this girl was always sending me reels about love couple (to show love towards me), I always gave her the princess treatment, I always dressed classy around her, she did too, I always showed her the security she could have with me, and she was also displaying so many signs of love, all her sisters and also her mother always told her that I'm the one for her, and from what she was saying, she was always happy and had butterflies hearing that, we planned so many things for our future, we were always so excited when seeing each other, and time seemed to be flying, and I wasn't the only one putting efforts, she did that too, we became so close and honest to each other, and more... but it was her decision to break things, so I have to take it as it is and move one, and you too need that. Know your real value and never let someone treats you badly, you deserve all the love and happiness, but from real people, not liars and cheaters.

so the Brits keep the massive asset of skilled body's to train the new forces and giving the British a MASSIVE moral boost that I personally believe is the main reason the UK didn't white peace out the Germans.

Today we practice differently, and take a stand against our anger, that our fears may disappear and offer room to love. Here is salvation in the simple words in which we practice with today’s idea. Here is the answer to temptation which can never fail to welcome in the Christ where fear and anger had prevailed before. Here is Atonement made complete, the world passed safely by and Heaven now restored. Here is the answer of the Voice for God. Complete abstraction is the natural condition of the mind. But part of it is now unnatural. It does not look on everything as one. It sees instead but fragments of the whole, for only thus could it invent the partial world you see. The purpose of all seeing is to show you what you wish to see. All hearing but brings to your mind the sounds it wants to hear.
Thus were specifics made. And now it is specifics we must use in practicing. We give them to the Holy Spirit, that He may employ them for a purpose which is different from the one we gave to them. Yet He can use but what we made, to teach us from a different point of view, so we can see a different use in everything.
One brother is all brothers. Every mind contains all minds, for every mind is one. Such is the truth. Yet do these thoughts make clear the meaning of creation? Do these words bring perfect clarity with them to you? What can they seem to be but empty sounds; pretty, perhaps, correct in sentiment, yet fundamentally not understood nor understandable. The mind that taught itself to think specifically can no longer grasp abstraction in the sense that it is all-encompassing. We need to see a little, that we learn a lot.
It seems to be the body that we feel limits our freedom, makes us suffer, and at last puts out our life. Yet bodies are but symbols for a concrete form of fear. Fear without symbols calls for no response, for symbols can stand for the meaningless. Love needs no symbols, being true. But fear attaches to specifics, being false.
Bodies attack, but minds do not. This thought is surely reminiscent of our text, where it is often emphasized. This is the reason bodies easily become fear’s symbols. You have many times been urged to look beyond the body, for its sight presents the symbol of love’s “enemy” Christ’s vision does not see. The body is the target for attack, for no one thinks he hates a mind. Yet what but mind directs the body to attack? What else could be the seat of fear except what thinks of fear?
Hate is specific. There must be a thing to be attacked. An enemy must be perceived in such a form he can be touched and seen and heard, and ultimately killed. When hatred rests upon a thing, it calls for death as surely as God’s Voice proclaims there is no death. Fear is insatiable, consuming everything its eyes behold, seeing itself in everything, compelled to turn upon itself and to destroy.
Who sees a brother as a body sees him as fear’s symbol. And he will attack, because what he beholds is his own fear external to himself, poised to attack, and howling to unite with him again. Mistake not the intensity of rage projected fear must spawn. It shrieks in wrath, and claws the air in frantic hope it can reach to its maker and devour him.
This do the body’s eyes behold in one whom Heaven cherishes, the angels love and God created perfect. This is his reality. And in Christ’s vision is his loveliness reflected in a form so holy and so beautiful that you could scarce refrain from kneeling at his feet. Yet you will take his hand instead, for you are like him in the sight that sees him thus. Attack on him is enemy to you, for you will not perceive that in his hands is your salvation. Ask him but for this, and he will give it to you. Ask him not to symbolize your fear. Would you request that love destroy itself? Or would you have it be revealed to you and set you free?
Today we practice in a form we have attempted earlier. Your readiness is closer now, and you will come today nearer Christ’s vision. If you are intent on reaching it, you will succeed today. And once you have succeeded, you will not be willing to accept the witnesses your body’s eyes call forth. What you will see will sing to you of ancient melodies you will remember. You are not forgot in Heaven. Would you not remember it?
Select one brother, symbol of the rest, and ask salvation of him. See him first as clearly as you can, in that same form to which you are accustomed. See his face, his hands and feet, his clothing. Watch him smile, and see familiar gestures which he makes so frequently. Then think of this: What you are seeing now conceals from you the sight of one who can forgive you all your sins; whose sacred hands can take away the nails which pierce your own, and lift the crown of thorns which you have placed upon your bleeding head. Ask this of him, that he may set you free:
Give me your blessing, holy Son of God. I would behold you with the eyes of Christ, and see my perfect sinlessness in you.
And He will answer Whom you called upon. For He will hear the Voice for God in you, and answer in your own. Behold him now, whom you have seen as merely flesh and bone, and recognize that Christ has come to you. Today’s idea is your safe escape from anger and from fear. Be sure you use it instantly, should you be tempted to attack a brother and perceive in him the symbol of your fear. And you will see him suddenly transformed from enemy to savior; from the devil into Christ.
