I've been playing Destiny 2 for a long time. I started like everyone else from the beginning back in Battle.net I already had a cross save set up between steam and my old psn account.
I decided to start a new PSN account. On it I bought all the add-ons + pre-ordered with an annual pass for the final shape. Decided to play on it to get a feel for what it's like when you start from scratch. Went in and picked up the pre-order bonuses.
Now I want to reconnect (I am aware of the 90 days, everything ok) cross save with old characters from steam (on them I have all the progress).
I have a question, will I be able to use bonuses on old characters from steam if I continue to play on a new PSN account from which I pre-ordered?

Hello! I am an accessibility noob, and I need to build an accessible website that meets WCAG 2.0 and AODA guidelines of Canada. Is HTML5 the best way to go forward for this? I will be using Wordpress as the CMS and am looking at a front-end that can be operated using the keyboard, if a user wants. Any advice for me?

As I understand it (and I'm new to this, so...) Character PNGs contain a character bio as well as a scenario in the initial message. Is there a way to separate the two. For example, if I create character cards for, say, each main Star Trek character, and a Star Trek lore book explaining the universe, is there a way to have a "scenario card" so I can try different characters in the same scenario without editing the character cards each time?

My RELIGION teacher (so not even an exam subject) went through everyone’s copy books and folded pages with little notes abt what’s “wrong” with the page. For me she had folded almost every page bc I doodle a lot. This is bc I’m autistic and the doodling helps regulate me during class. But not only did she fold every single page with a drawing, she scribbled on every one.
I was 12 and very very upset bc I loved my little doodled characters. I would give them names and story’s and relationships with the other characters and at the end of the year I was gonna cut them all out and glue them in my sketchbook. But no. Instead she had to ruin all my fun. She also gave us tests which I never drew on and always did good in so she knew I wasn’t distracted. Anyway after that I didn’t wanna draw in my copy anymore for fear of getting my creations destroyed at the end of the semester so I needed a new regulation system. Now I was still very mad at my teacher for killing all my little dudes so instead of using a quiet unnoticeable regulation system I started tapping, humming, and whistling in class.
This rlly pissed her off and resulted in her calling to have a meeting w me and my mom. She told my mom (who didn’t know abt the doodle thing yet) that I was “ruining” her class (like it was going well in the first place) and that she should b embarrassed of me. I told my mom that I was stimming to keep myself regulated. My teacher then said that I was lying bc it only stat recently. My mom rolled her eyes at this comment and asked me why I wasn’t just drawing like I usually did I then informed her abt what she had done and took out my still folded copy as evidence. My mother then informed my teacher that she should just let me draw. My teacher then said “ Well it’s not my fault she’s r-word’ed and can’t just focus in my class”.
My mother, my dear, sweet, former punk, mother, asked me to wait outside in the hall so she could talk to my teacher in private. I left but still heard her yell “ WELL MAYBE IF YOUR PSYCHO ASS HAD SOMETHING BETTER TO DO THEN RUIN THE DAYS OF ALL YOU STUDENTS YOU WOULDN’T HAVE CARED SO MUCH ABOUT MY DAUGHTERS COPING MECHANISMS” My teacher tried to play the victim after that and threatened to tell my principle about how she spoke to her. My mom told her if she went to him about it she would tell him that one of his teachers called a student a slur for drawing pictures. She shut up after that and my mom invited me back into the room.
We had me opt out of that class and do revision in the asd unit instead. My mom went to the principal abt the slur thing anyway and the teacher was fired for that as well as some other thing that idk the details of. Did my school a blessing istg

Relationship with a big distances demand permanent efforts. 99% of all dialogs will end in houday/week. 2. I wish to meet that man, who is stable both psychically and in his work. Often someone writes, starts conversation, but later his bad mood, difficulties at his work, unstable psychic begins to ruin conversation. It ends with his ghosting and his "offends". If you can't stay stable for me, please, even don't start. I used to work at very stressful job and understand, how strong pressure and responsibility can be. In the last post, I told yall that my bf had admitted to having a child previously in our relationship and cheating the whole 12 years in the relationship. I tried one last time to express how hurt I was not as an attempt to fix anything but I just needed to get it off my chest that I've been struggling even to be around him, that changes how I viewed him and that's the most damaging part. Since then he has been constantly trying to pick fights( I think he picked up on my plans to leave). The last fight started because he pushed our son down because he was making too much noise, mind you he's not even 2 yet. I did step in between and it turned into a domestic issue. I remember the comments saying he could turn physical but I didn't believe it. I'm a little nervous as I'm set to start my new career tomorrow but I have to leave him with the baby until the Department of Child Safety is done with the emergency daycare voucher. I've really isolated myself even further by getting them involved b/c his family feels I'm trying to keep the baby from him. I don't want to keep them apart permanently but with all of the aggression, I think he could use some anger management or something. The environment just feels unsafe .he's started going through my phone ( messages, notes, deleted pics and messages, journals) I have no sense of privacy. He also does this thing, I think its supposed to be intimidating, like just stands over me if I'm sitting down and stares really hard with a anger face until its uncomfortable. I have about 35 days until we are out of here. Last night he told me I should just get out, I wanted to tell him I plan on it but I think it'll make things worse.

alright so this isn’t me criticizing lorelai so much as finding the way she deals with christopher to be very odd and inconsistent with the rest of her character as the years go by and let me explain why
i do really think ASP hit the nail on the head with first loves and how they’re repeatedly drawn back to each other even if they know deep down it’s not a right fit. it’s familiar, it’s safe, and if you tell yourself at night that they were right person wrong time/the one that got away then of course you’re always going to feel that attached until you receive proper closure. this is repeated in the show a couple times as we see similar patterns between rory/dean (i’m not calling dean rory’s chris lol dw just an observation), and luke/rachel. it also seems to be a bit of a theme in ASP’s work generally like with joel and midge from maisel. it makes a lot of virtual sense that lorelai and chris would fall into that same pattern and be unable to let each other go until they got married and let it fall apart on its own, not being able to blame being 16 or sherry being pregnant or whatever as why it didn’t work.
but
when it comes to chris and lorelai, the whole thing becomes infinitely more confusing and partially less accurate to how i feel it would’ve gone down when you remember that rory exists, and moreover, when we consider the kind of mom lorelai is and the relationship they have.
lorelai had a lot of reasons to be angry with chris on her own account, but it’s not uncommon to allow yourself to be mistreated when it’s someone you love, particularly your first one it’s a very powerful pull. but what i could never get on board with was her astonishing lack of anger towards chris on rorys account. don’t get me wrong a lot of mothers have shitty baby daddy’s and still entertain them romantically, but i feel like if lorelai was real she wouldn’t be one of those. i find it odd that she so violently and deeply loves rory and yet isn’t completely repulsed by the way chris fathers her? he was only 16 when she got pregnant so alright fine, give the kid a pass, but once he hit 25 i see 0 valid reason for him to behave like he does. it’s not just that he wasn’t really there, it’s that he would often promise to be and then fail to live up to it, constantly disappointing rory.
not to mention, it was painfully obvious that his interest in being a father to rory pretty much started and stopped with whether or not he thought it’d get him laid. in his very first episode he tells lorelai he’s wants to be a family, insinuating he wants to be rory’s dad, yet when she rejects his absolutely insane proposal of marriage, he leaves and we don’t see him again for about another 7 months when rory calls him for the deb ball. and by then i believe most of his “good” parenting was for sherrys benefit, as he really seemed to have made her believe he was way more present and active than he was. i don’t think sherry’s desire to be so intensely close with rory was actually as inappropriate/out of left field as we as the viewers feel like it was, i think chris totally misrepresented how close they were to her. lorelai not being totally grossed out by chris constantly using rory to get to her felt unlike her. she’s a fiercely protective mother and loves rory so so much, i simply don’t buy that she’d find chris as charming as she does and allow herself to indulge in that all the way into her late 30s.
now i realize that i’m making this pretty black and white and that emotions aren’t perfect and the bond you share when you’ve got a kid together is hard to break, particularly when you have the shared trauma of going through a teen pregnancy, chris is appealing in many ways too blah blah blah. so, i’ll say that i can, to a degree, understand lorelai running back to him so many times. she can’t always be mom first person second. i get that. i suppose what bothers me is the lack of confrontation about it? she never even seems angry at chris about it, she seems sad and disappointed sometimes, but most if not all of the times they fight she’s upset as chris’ ex and not rory’s mother. i just can’t believe that she wouldn’t be vocally at least a little bit disgusted by his utter lack of interest in the child that they share and the damage that caused her. not all moms would be but i really think she would, she literally tells the therapist she proposed to luke because she saw how much he cared for rory, that that was what sealed the deal for her, so clearly that is something she highly values and UGH i just feel like id feel so much better about the whole thing if we just got a couple of scenes of her being an angry mama bear to christopher. every time it’s acknowledged that chris was a bad father it’s in a calm way or she comforts him about it like no give me rage

Hello everyone, I hope all is well. Today we are going to be taking a closer look/listen at “New Test Leper” which is the third track from the “Hi Side” of the band’s 1996 album New Adventures in Hi-Fi.
This song was actually one of the four songs from the album that was recorded in Seattle, Washington at the Bad Animal Studios. Even though this song wasn’t recorded on the road during the Monster tour like most of the album’s tracks, it was written and played during one of the band’s soundchecks. Peter said “And for some reason, we just forgot about it and never really played it. I don’t know why. Michael just happened to luckily enough have it on tape.” Peter also stated that this is the most “R.E.M.” sounding song on the album.
And I can see why Peter made that comment because the song starts off with Michael’s vocals right away, acoustic guitar, a shaker and some organs from Mike. With that acoustic guitar and that 6/8 time signature it’s definitely giving me Automatic for the People vibes, especially with a song like “Try Not to Breathe.” Now lyrically, here’s another quote from Peter in discussing the inspiration for the song;
“Michael was watching one of those talk shows and I think the subject was ‘People judge me by the way I look’ or something.” Whereas I, when I have the misfortune to look for two minutes at one of those Oprah, Geraldo things, I just get revolted at everyone concerned: the audience, me. Michael actually looked at it and felt like, ‘Gosh, what if someone’s actually trying to communicate something to these people and this person who’s in this awful, tacky, degrading situation?’”
The song starts off with the memorable lyric “I can't say that I love Jesus, that would be a hollow claim.” With this lyric in particular Peter said “It’s written from the perspective of a character that Michael saw on TV on a talk show. But are people going to think Michael’s talking about himself not liking Jesus? I don’t think that people will take us that seriously.”
The next lyric “he did make some observations and I'm quoting them today” seems to be Michael referencing the host of this religious talk show. The quote he uses is “judge not lest ye be judged” which, as Michael says, is a beautiful refrain. But the studio audience of the talk show don’t agree as they ask “have his lambs all gone astray?” It appears that there’s a guest on this talk show who is a “leper” which could mean an outcast of sorts. And in the chorus they say “call me leper.” I think the point that Michael is trying to make is how ironic it is that people of religious stature are judging someone else for not following teachings of the Bible when they are doing that themselves. As the title of this song deals with the New Testament and lepers played in a role in the different stories.
Now before we get into the rest of the song we gotta talk about the music up to this point. As I mentioned earlier, the song starts off with acoustic guitar, organs, vocals and a shaker. Despite it starting off as an acoustic number, the song has an upbeat tempo to it that makes it far from the slowest song on this album. And halfway through the first verse we get the bass and drums entering the mix. The song itself is fairly simple, but Mike’s bassline is far from it! Instead of playing a normal bassline, Mike is playing a lead melody that might as well be played on guitar. He’s what he had to say about this specific bassline just last year;
“I try to keep my bass lines a certain way, but for some reason with 'New Test Leper' I decided to basically play a bass solo all the way through the verses. You don't want the bass by itself, but in terms of free-forming and playing a lot of notes and having a lot of fun with it, I think 'New Test Leper' is the one where I took the guardrails off of it and had a good time."
I also love the electric guitar part during the chorus. Not only is the melody catchy but I love the tone to it. I can’t tell what effects it has on it but it sounds like a tiny bit of tremolo and it gives me strong surf vibe. It’s perfect because it fits alongside Michael’s simple delivery of “call me leper.” Which is also fitting because during the verses Michael’s vocal delivery is soft and warm and has a ton of great dynamics to it.
In the second verse we have Michael calling out the talk show after the host says “you are lost and disillusioned.” Michael understands how awful this show and crowd are and was hoping they’d be able to understand. But when the subtitle on the show say “I am not an animal” he realizes how ugly the whole event is. It should be noted that the quote “I am not an animal” comes from Michael’s favorite movie The Elephant Man which also inspired other R.E.M. songs like “Carnival of Sorts.”
After another melodic chorus we get an instrumental bridge with a gorgeous guitar solo from Peter over some mournful chords. It has that western Glen Campbell sound to it that Peter would return to in a couple albums with Reveal. The tone of that guitar shimmers and shines and the organs feel perfect backing the whole bridge. By far my favorite bridge on this album.
When the band goes back into that last verse we get this eerie sounding guitar feedback from Peter. I feel like this is suppose to be to leave a bad taste in your mouth the same way that this tv show has left a bad taste in this “leper’s” mouth. Michael sings from the perspective of the leper and how they finally understand the show was just a way to shock and awe people. Before they can tell their story, the show cuts to a commercial break. And as they are sitting through five commercials, the host is just staring blankly into his pre organized index cards. He explains how the guests were “scared and hardened” and ends the verse with the lyric “what a sad parade” which Michael admits he borrowed from his fellow songwriter and friend Vic Chestnutt.
The last chorus of the song starts off without any drums which is a nice way to slow the song down before one final chorus with all the instrumentation. Peter continues with that bouncy guitar riff until the band ends on a minor chord which is very appropriate.
Despite this song having a music video directed by Lance Bangs, and despite it being one of Michael’s favorite songs from the band, it was never an official single. It was only used a promotional single in Germany. Yet I feel that’s not a bad thing as this song and its profound meaning might have gone over some non fan’s heads after hearing that opening line. Yes, Michael used a real religious tv evangelism for the background of this song, but it’s not to hate on a specific religion. But more so to show the hypocrisy of preaching kindness and telling people to treating others how you want to be treated, to just then turn around and judge someone for being different. This message is wrapped up in this jaunty acoustic number that features all the great element throughout this album while remaining fresh. Plus it’s one of Mikes best basslines.

Hello everyone, I hope all is well. Today we are going to be taking a closer look/listen at the song “Losing Lisa” which is the seventh track from Ben’s first solo album Rockin’ the Suburbs.
There’s a couple of songs on this album, including this one, where I feel like they have hints of sounds from the 50’s/60’s despite them being written and released in the early 2000’s. The song starts with this harpsichord sounding keyboard playing a bright G major chord. This intro is cut off with a drum hit and then Ben switching to a normal piano and vocals.
Lyrically, this is song is about the unraveling of a relationship between the character Ben is singing from and his partner named Lisa. Ben sings “she's so sensitive, this shit just happens sometimes.” It seems like Ben is singing this song through the perspective of a typical male who’s blaming the ending of a relationship on the other person. He’s saying how she’s overly sensitive but then in the next line is saying how she’s his “everything” and how she’s his best friend. It’s maybe a little ironic how this song was the only song on that album cowritten by Ben’s at the time wife Frally Hynes.
During this first verse we get some other instruments gradually being added to the mix. First there’s some light percussion, some subtle acoustic guitars and some great bass fills which gives me Beach Boy vibes. And then lyrically, Ben does this smart move where he ends the verse with the lyric “we don't do anything we didn't do the day….” and then starts the pre chorus with the lyric “before you go, you ought to know.” This is great because the word “before” is used as a transitional word between the verse and pre chorus and it’s clever in a way you might not notice on a first listen.
The pre chorus is a nice way to slow things down before we get to the chorus. The move from the E minor chord to E flat chord is smooth and lyrically we have Ben’s character pleading to Lisa that he didn’t mean to hurt her which is a human cliche as old as time. As we move into the chorus we get the drums and piano ramping up in energy on the D major chord to give us the push we need for the chorus.
For me, the chorus is the hook of this song. It’s all fairly simple but it’s so goddamn catchy no matter how many times I hear it. The chorus has such a breezy flow to it as Ben’s singing about heartache with the lyric “black tears are falling down her face and I am wrong.” I’ve always interpreted the black tears being mascara running down Lisa’s face as she is crying. And even though this character understands he’s in the wrong, he’s still complaining that Lisa won’t tell him what he did that was wrong. Maybe the most devastating line is when Ben sings “she’s sitting here beside me then she is gone.” Even though she physically there with him, mentally she’s already checked out. The chorus ends with Ben’s catchy harmonies as he sings “black tears are falling, falling.”
The second verse begins with full instrumentation which adds nice dynamics to the song. This time around, Ben’s character is reminiscing of a time where things were simpler with Lisa and himself. He speaks of loving times when they were laughing and things were simpler. But now she’s no longer happy and he no longer feels anything. And in the pre chorus, instead of the male character listening to what his partner is saying, he’s fixated on her face instead. “I am mesmerized, by tiny lines. I'm watching as the shapes are drawing slowly from her eyes.”
We get another chorus which sounds just as great as the first one. Another reason I love the pre chorus is the movement of the chords after each lyric. Ben plays a B flat, C and a D minor chord which he walks up and then back down again. It’s one element of the chorus that makes the whole song so catchy. That and some of Ben’s vocal melodies really remind me of the Beach Boys, especially the runs that move down in pitch.
After the second chorus the song brings it down in volume as we enter into the bridge. The piano and drums are more delicate as Ben sings the title of the song three times. It’s almost as if he’s finally realizing that he’s lost Lisa and he admits that “there’s nothing I can do.” And it’s right during this realization where the instruments start building up in energy to bring us to the instrumental section. I wouldn’t call it a solo necessarily as none of the instruments really play a full on solo (although Ben does play some tasty licks). Instead we actually get a lot of space where the instruments can breathe. My favorite parts is when you can hear the electric guitars play a couple of old timey strums.
Then the song ends on an outro which a different variation of chords than the chorus. Ben sings “black tears are falling, falling” as he also provides his own backing vocals singing “ahh.” It’s a great little jam section that eventually ends on a B flat/F chord and some tambourine action.
When it comes to this album, this is one of my favorite underrated songs from it. It’s not as flashy as the title track, nor does it have the beauty of a song like “Carrying Cathy.” But it’s just one of those songs that flows effortless and can stuck in your head in a non annoying way. It’s fun to single along to and easy to follow; it’s basically a song where a relationship falls apart because one person is not only ignorant to the signs, but also does nothing to solve any of the problems. It’s a song that was played live on most nights on Ben’s What Matters Most tour. I was ecstatic to hear it and I think Ben’s backing band plus Talk Heights made this song better than it would have been with just Ben and his piano.

A friend and had an argument about two characters in Fire Emblem 7. They claimed that Canas and Lucius were both worth deploying. I told them I had little reason to use Lucius because light magic is not useful, Canas had better bases AND better tomes. This becomes doubly true in HHM. This is before mentioning Erk and how he is a better choice than Lucius, but I am straying from the point.
This is all to say that my friend gave me this silly line, and I quote, "It's like you are complaining about which cake is better, when you should be like, 'Wow, two cakes'." I needed a second take after hearing that. If there was any sign that someone never played HHM, it would be that moment. I almost wanted to humor their analogy, but I could not bring myself to do it. By that point, I was over it.

Hello Everyone
Recently I have realised that I don't need powerful laptop and don't what to pay for it. 90% of my screentime is spent either in browser, either in code editor and the rest 10% I play indie games. Clearly aren't power consuming tasks.
What actually effect my experience though is design. I would enjoy having ergonomic keyboard, good camera, aluminium body, small size/weight and etc. Ideally it has to have nice integrated graphic card, but it isn't necessary. I also planing on using Linux as OS anyway, so laptop can come without Windows.
Is there any options on the market for people who are ready to compromise performance for good price, but aren't ready to comprise design and build quality?

So, I decided recently to look into becoming a wrestler again, I tried before last year, but my family had money issues, and I never got around to enrolling into a nearby academy, though I guess it worked out in the end, since I got into better shape recently. Now, I think I wanna try again, since I'm better off money wise.
Anyways, I know y'all don't recommend creating personas before you train long enough, but I had this funny idea for a wrestling persona based on Shawn Michaels, I don't have a good name for it yet, but the character I'm setting up is a guy who idolizes HBK, and dresses and wrestles similar to him, even using some of his mannerisms, I'll definitely make it unique so it's not an entire ripoff, but I thought it'd be entertaining, and also make for a potentially good heel persona.
What do y'all think? I could use some name recommendations for it too if y'all want to share.

I’ve been rewatching "The Magicians" and there’s a part of the storyline that I always wished had been handled differently. Two immensely powerful characters, The Monster (who possessed Eliot) and Martin Chatwin as The Beast, never crossed paths in the original series. I found this disappointing, especially during the scene where The Beast brutally breaks Eliot’s fingers. Eliot is one of my favorite characters, and I felt his potential wasn’t fully realized.
I envisioned a reimagined plot where The Monster is reintroduced, having a deep history with Martin Chatwin. This reimagining includes The Monster subtly hinting at his presence over several episodes, culminating in an epic confrontation between The Monster (in Eliot’s body) and The Beast. This would lead to a dramatic and satisfying storyline where both antagonists clash, resulting in an intense and memorable battle.
Here’s the detailed reimagined storyline I came up with, integrating these changes seamlessly into the original plot. I hope fellow fans of the show enjoy this alternate take!

With savetf2 firing up for round 2 I went on a binger for it and this popped up in my mind
It's pretty easy to say that the 9 mercs get wiped by a full overwatch team due to sheer numbers but that's just....not fun so let's ignore it
Instead we will have a nice and "simple" 9v9!
The teams will consist of Scout, soldier and pyro Demoman, heavy and engi Sniper, spy and medic
Their opponents will be what I consider to be their closest mechanical matches
Tracer, pharah and mei (her gun main and alt fire remind me of flare punching, it was either that or reaper since they are both masked close range murder hobos and repaer) Junkrat, zarya and torb Widow, sombra and mei
For scaling we are allowing gameplay and lore but lore trumps gameplay if conflict arises, so tf2 mercs aren't ftl because they can dodge the pompson and overwatch characters aren't all planet level durability because they survive a zarya or sigma black hole ok?
For extra rules we will assume the mercs can carry extra weapons but not their entire inventory
So soldier can have a banner and shotgun and his boots, sniper his piss and smg scout and heavy their snacks but not entire other primary weapons. Otherwise their loadout will be the basic vanilla ones
Ults we will assume can be used whenever they want, and uber starts fully charged but still has its startup as seen in meet the medic as well.
Sound fair? I tried! sound fun? I hope so! And please if you do comment please try to avoid being toxic because "hurdur overwatch bad" or "meh tf2 is a dead game" both of these games have a toxic enough community as it is...lets try to not make it worse? I’m sorry but I just have mixed feelings about this and needed it off my chest. I needed some advice to process the unfamiliar emotions I’m having.
TLDR, my(21) friend (18) is trans, are threatening their family to allow them to get HRT or else they will drop out of college just get a job to afford private care and even fake harming themselves to just get priority access to public services.
So I have a friend who’s trans. Let’s call them G. We are both from the same country (in Asia), have seen each other plenty of times and we chat enough to know each other pretty well.
G just started college few months ago studying animation while I’m at the end finishing my degree very soon. G is dependent on their family while I currently am living alone and am rather financially independent.
I myself have also transitioned few years ago so I understand the need to access gender affirming care and how difficult the process is. However our backgrounds are VERY different. I was hospitalized in the past due to attempts and already had access to both psychiatrists and clinical psychologists since middle school. Which means I don’t need to wait ~2years to get a referral letter. In the end I used my doctor’s letter from public healthcare to get private hormones easily. Sure it was expensive but I worked while studying, along with a decent scholarship.
Throughout my puberty years I was extremely depressed and had other problems. That was why I mentioned how transitioning has helped me immensely to a point I’m thankful to be given a chance to once again be able to blend in society and function like a normal human being. G has seen how much I’ve changed over my university years and felt like they “have to catch up”.
Here comes the conflict. G never had any experiences or need when it comes to psychiatric help so they started doing more research and asking me how to get access to HRT through public healthcare. I was pretty cool and supportive knowing how helpful it is. I told them I skipped the “waiting for a psychologist” part so I can’t offer any detailed advices on that.
Over the next three months the frequency of this topic being brought up has significantly increased as they started getting inpatient. They told me they do not want to wait any longer and are seeking private care since they feel like 18 is already too late to start. I assured them they are not too late and it’s best to communicate to their family first since G is on good terms with their family while I live alone and do not need to worry about my safety. G came out to their family hoping to receive financial help which received mixed reactions. G’s family came to a conclusion that G is currently a bit too impulsive and should wait for public healthcare. Most importantly is that G’s family is NOT in a financial situation that could allow G to transition privately.
G came to me furiously and complained how their parents are not understanding and how they also needed it to feel happy. I explained to them our situations are a lot different and if they can’t afford it they could focus on their studies and get a nice job while waiting to have their first public healthcare appointment.
In the next few weeks G has shared the ultimate plan, they repeatedly told me they are failing their classes purposely so their family had no choice but to allow G to drop out and get a job. Which allows G to earn money and transition privately.
I disagreed that this was a good idea and how G shouldn’t give up on being an animator just for a shorter waiting time. And this was when G started arguing that I wouldn’t understand their situation, how I had the privilege to get access to psychiatric help due to hospitalizations and maybe they should do it too. I quote “Maybe I should walk in the ER and whine about how much I want to die when I obviously don’t want to so I could get the same medical attention as you”.
I was of course deeply hurt by these words. That period was when I was the most vulnerable and I only open up to people I trust. I worked hard to regain the balance of my life and to get invalidated like this makes it unacceptable. I left the voice chat immediately after that. The next thing I heard is G messaging me saying how G’s family is now transphobic because G threatened to kill themselves if G’s family doesn’t allow G to transition now.
I only replied with a question “Are you in danger? Do you need a place to stay” which I got the answer “No I am fine they are not kicking me out”.
And I just never replied knowing they are safe. I was never close to my family and had to find places to stay overnight just to avoid them fighting when I was a teenager. This whole situation just makes me sad and guilty. I don’t know what to do and I feel like I motivated G to let this happen. I don’t even know what to do or say in this particular situation. All I ever wanted was some peace. And looks like it’s not ending soon
