My guide to Diddly Squat Farm (After a weekend trip)
Sunday visit, no bank holiday or half term, very good weather. Overall I enjoyed the trip, lovely area, fun to see the shop and get to visit the farm/land by public footpaths. I wouldn't do it again in a hurry and if I did, it would be during the working week.
  • Arrive by 0900 at the latest
  • Camp overnight or get a hotel
  • Don't bother arriving after 1200
  • Walk the public footpath, it's free and interesting
I arrived at 0730 (I camped next door overnight), I was the first person there. Local shops and staff started arriving and opened the exit barrier, they said it was fine to enter the carpark. It started to fill slowly, but increased in rate rapidly.
I lined up at 0800, by 0830 the car park was almost full and the line was a decent size but manageable.
They opened the toilets around 0850.
By 0900 the second half of the carpark was filling up and the line was horrendous, by 0930 when the shop opened it was madness.
I shuffled through the shop and grabbed my selection of items, paid up and was out within 5 mins max.
I went around back to the cafe, they were hosting some other local vendors with small stalls. I had a pint of Hawkstone, food being server was only breakfast style, 1100 was service for Burgers.
I then headed out for a walk, leaving my car there (with the intention to return once lunch service started).
I went right out of the gate, by this point the road was packed for 1km with parked cars.I headed to the entrance lane to Diddly Squat Farm itself, walked up past Clarksons house and through the farm yard following the Public footpath. I met Caleb on the way up and he was cheerful, spotted a new addition to the farm, a large grain storage barn opposite the cow shed and a brand new even larger green Lambo tractor that I haven't seen before. I passed Caleb (in his pickup) again, along with other farm hands who appeared to be using electric mountain bikes to tend to the chickens. Continued over the footpath that covered a decent portion of the farm, was happy to see the last field contained a bumper crop of oilseed rape so fingers crossed that survives.
I arrived back at Diddly Squat Farm shop for 1110, and it was pure unchecked chaos. The line was beyond view and people were moaning left and right about the wait. I checked out back for food but the line was atleast 1 hour just for that so gave up on that idea.
It was alarming how many totally delusional people were there, I met multiple groups expecting tractor rides and guided tours of the farm. Many people asked where the animals were and one group even expected it to be a petting zoo/adventure farm. It appeared as if many turned up without researching how best to visit, when and what there actually was onsite, many failed to understand it was just a farm shop and multiple voiced expectations of meeting the cast at the shop.

Nui Cobalt was kind enough to reach out to me on TikTok and offered me a code to redeem on anything of my choosing, no strings attached, so I obviously had to pick up the new Critters collection! This is a really full circle moment for me, since my VERY FIRST indie perfume collection I ever tried was the Critters collection from last year 🥹. Thank you again to Nui Cobalt!!
So, on to the reviews! I picked out eight samples and one full size bottle, all from this collection. Scents were rested for a week before trying, then tested one per day. This is my first time reviewing scents in a written format so let me know what you think of my writing (but be gentle I’m sensitive lol).
Silver Fox - (White tea with honey and rice milk, almond macaron, soft grey cashmere and cool woodland musk.) This is one of my favorites! The white tea note is for sure the star of the show here. The honey, rice milk, and almond macaron notes help to soften and diffuse the white tea in such a scrumptious way! Once it has dried down and been on the skin for some time, the cashmere and musk make an appearance to make this a beautiful snuggly scent. I give this a 9/10 with my only critique being I would have loved this even more if it had just a little bit more of that honey and almond note (but that is absolutely personal preference), but overall this is a GORGEOUS blend!!
Goat - (Sweet labdanum and myrrh resins, Himalayan cedarwood, white grapes, green amber, olive leaf, high-altitude lavender, and lemon verbena.) This one surprised me! I wasn’t sure about the labdanum and myrrh notes, but WOW! This makes me think of a very specific place from my childhood which I love! When I was a kid, my grade school used to take a trip to an alpaca farm and this scent smells EXACTLY like the little gift shop on that farm! The mix of the more incense-y notes with the fresher notes is just pure nostalgia to me. That being said, the labdanum, myrrh, and lavender are the stars of the show in this one. The lemon disappears pretty quickly, but the green amber, olive leaf, and cedarwood keep the scent from being too heavy. I give this a 7/10, not something I’d want to wear everyday, but a beautiful blend nonetheless and a healthy dose of nostalgia to sniff every once in a while.
Harlequin Rabbit - (Nutmeg and tonka bean nuzzle up against toasted marshmallow, auburn cashmere, white pepper, black tea, and a trace of carrot seed.) OOOoo this one is NICE. I get the black tea and white pepper the most, with the more gourmand notes just backing up the black tea. This is another favorite that is cozy and slightly gourmand, but still fresh enough that I don’t feel suffocated by sweetness. This is a nice sexy scent that I will be wearing year round! I give this a 10/10, I think this is so beautifully blended and just sweet enough.
Little White Rabbit - (Nutmeg and tonka bean nuzzle up against cottonflower, white peppercorn, clove, vanilla marshmallow creme, pale blue cashmere, carrot seed, and honeyed almond.) LWR is very nice, but in comparison to her sister, Harlequin definitely wins to me. I get a lot of the marshmallow, nutmeg, and tonka bean in this one and they are definitely the base for the rest of this scent. It is an interesting scent though, because it really does conjure the image of a fluffy white bunny in my mind with the cotton flower and cashmere in here! If you’re looking at the rabbits and you like light and sweet scents then this is the one for you! I give this a 6/10 just because Harlequin Rabbit really took the cake for me!
Red Admiral Butterfly - (Blood orange, nasturtium flower, coriander, subtle blackwood, wild strawberry, and fresh garden basil.) This is the ONLY scent from the pack that disappointed me a little. I LOVE a good orange scent and was hoping for a lot of that in this, but I just really didn’t get any orange. This is for sure an all green scent! I get a LOT of the basil in this as well as the rest of the green notes. It has an underlying fruity note that is very, very faint and I think that is absolutely the strawberry. 2/10 just because I was absolutely crushed there was no orange I could detect 😭
Copper Fox - (Warm chai with steamed almond milk nestled in sumptuous cashmere, crimson musk, sarsaparilla, and budding birch.) I have to say I was REALLY excited for this one and it didn’t disappoint! I am a sucker for a chai scent and this is definitely up there with some of my favs! This really delivers on the chai note, but is also fleshed out by the almond milk, cashmere, and other spicy notes. This is what the ideal chai would smell like! This is a 10/10 and I’m probably going to full size this!!
Blossom Bat - (Humid rainforest blossoms laden with nectar, dense moss, passionfruit, black fig, and bamboo.) This is another one that surprised me! This is a nectar BOMB with some fresh notes (rainforest and bamboo) to back it up. I can definitely detect some fruitiness in there too from the black fig and passionfruit. I REALLY like this one, the mix of fruity freshness with the sweet nectar is spectacular! BUT I could foresee myself getting a headache from this one. I give this one a solid 7/10!
Capybara - (Crisp aquatic greens, allspice, feijoa, acai blossom, ylang, and yuzu.) This is an interesting one. I’m not usually one for green scents but this is really good! “Crisp aquatic greens” is the perfect way to describe what’s happening in this perfume. I also get a LOT of the Ylang and Açaí Blossom, but not so much the allspice or yuzu. This could almost go a little apple-y actually! An interesting perfume and very well made, but not so much for me so for that reason I’ll give this a 5/10.
Akhal-Teke - (Fine ecru suede, raw silk, pearl musk, white amber, precious Hawaiian sandalwood, and creamy pistachio.) This is the only full size bottle I picked up and I’m SO glad I did! This is amazing! I have been on a pistachio kick lately, so I had very high hopes for this one and it did NOT disappoint! This is the most scrumptious, decadent pistachio I’ve ever tried! The sandalwood, suede, and amber work beautifully to balance out the creamy pistachio. I can almost picture myself at a cafe eating a pistachio croissant. This gets an 11/10 I am absolutely in love!
Final Thoughts: This honestly just cements my love for Nui Cobalt! Even with the couple of dislikes for me personally, everything was blended beautifully and will be for somebody (just not me lol)! My favorites of the lot were Akhal-Teke, Copper Fox, Harlequin Rabbit, and Silver Fox, and I will for sure be full sizing these! Thank you again to Nui Cobalt for sending these my way!!

My english not good
I'm much MUCH much new to tekken and I live on the country side. As of this moment, I am typing on my laptop in a cafe using the establishment's free wifi. Our house is on solar and we don't have wifi or signals from telecommunications due to our farm location.
No wifi, no online play. I main an asuka on tekken 7 and jun on tekken 8. I don't have eddie on it.
There's an upcoming tekken tournament in the city and I want in. It still months away but how do I improve from the game? (apart from memorizing combos)
I can't go online except every sunday when I go a few hours ride to the city so i obviously lack real battle experience
I want to maximise offline training... Soooo are there mechanics I need to know? I want to know some mechanics? Just recently I learned that there is counter when you push down + forward.
I know air combos are important but I saw some clips having air combos being extended for a longer time without the enemy waking up. I want to be as relentless as that. I heard there's techniques to waking up as well.
Please help, I know this might sound like a noob question but please be gentle 😭
