First ever card parks, where to go from here?
2024.05.15 22:31 BitRelative4450 First ever card parks, where to go from here?
| Grew up playing the games and have been playing Pokémon Go since its release. First ever time buying the cards. This sub, and a couple others, popped up in my algorithm a few months ago and I’ve been peeping the cards available at my local CVS and Walgreens stores but just now pulling the trigger. Mainly because I’ve never seen the Mew or Genesect variations at the other stores. I’m interested in the idea of buying packs and never opening them, but I also like the idea of opening up packs and trying my luck at rare cards!! I have honestly no clue of the card collecting space/universe and would like some guidance in knowing my way around basically. How can I know what I’m looking for & how to stay up to date in what to buy? Any websites y’all would suggest for buying, keeping up with pricing, etc.? Also, is there any future worth in saving these packs in the pictures or should I go ahead and get my feet wet with opening them? submitted by BitRelative4450 to PokeInvesting [link] [comments] |
2024.05.15 15:09 UltimateTraders 5/15/2024 Daily Plays NXT MNDY slam earnings! PSEC CEO buys 800K shares for 5.48! AMC converts bonds 23.3 million shares avg 7, Ryan C falling asleep at the wheel of GME again! Sold SOFI 7.40 and bought DNUT 12. Wanted GME puts July 60 strike AMC July 10 strike WTF! Oh Well! ACMR CVS PERI YOU !
Good morning everyone. Premarket yesterday, man, AMC was 13 and GME was 80! I was even hoping that I could get 12 puts and 75 dollar puts with July Expiration. A few minutes in, both stocks were already at their highs, I did not even put in a bid for AMC… I put in a bid for GME but it quickly fell below the 60 strike.
I do not blame anyone for trading hot money..
All I say is know the facts, so that you can plan an exit strategy and be prepared for anything.
I warned that AMC as a company is worth about 800 million. [In 2019 when there were 100 million shares, the stock was 7-10!!! By the way!]
GME is worth closer to 700 million. [For many years it was worth 1 billion or less and they were a growing company!]
I don’t hate on the company… I hate that they are crap companies! Those are the facts!
I want everyone to make money, always! I just don’t want anyone lied to… I don’t want someone brainwashing anyone with junk!
AMC has authorization for 550 million shares
GME has authorization for 1 billion shares
AMC 2 days ago on Meme Monday sold 72.5 million shares at an avg of 3.45 for about 250 million dollars [Utilizing the at the market]
AMC yesterday agreed with a bond holder to convert 23.3 million shares for about 7 dollars to extinguish 164 million in debt.
You may think Adam is a bum, or doing AMC wrong…
What people do not understand is that he is doing what is best for the company to survive.. He is taking advantage of retail who is over pumping a stock!
8/6/2022 before APE and when AMC was near 30 I did this video!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lpIeONROO4 You need a company to stay in business if you want to keep trading the stock…
The stock price has 0 to do with the company. The stock price shows the exit price of someone that has the stock and wants to move it…
A stock is a currency for a company when they do not have cash…
The stock market exists as a way for a company to get cash and for insiders to exit!!!
A stock was not created so traders can make money!
You need to come to this understanding.
Also, 90% of times a company does not need a vote to dilute shareholders thru a convertible bond… You must do DD and check each bond to see if they have a convertible option to swap for shares.. This is your job, not mines! Chances are when a company is in trouble they will do this, especially if they are out of ATM [At the market] AMC has about 355 million shares as of now, trust me, if the stock is hot they will do their best to unload the rest of the 200 million on retail… This is not up to AMC!
This is up to the bond holder!
You see, the bond holder agreed to 23.3 million shares at about 7 dollars. Now they are holding the bag! They will need the Apes to bid it up and hope to be able to unload the 23.3 on everyone…They will need a lot of volume…. When volume dries up, they will be stuck! No bond holder or person would want to agree to take tons of shares of something if they can not unload it. [Liquidity]
This should show you how dumb Ryan Cohen is… He is falling asleep at the wheel.
He has had authorization for 1 billion shares since March of 2022 and these pumps are when you unload to get cash… It is a crippling business… One where they only made a profit by firing people and cutting costs, this is not sustainable…
This is obvious as sales are at a 16 year low…. For the year sales were down 12% and for the quarter 20%! A Christmas quarter! WHAT A DISASTER!
FACTS! Once you have the facts, you do you….
Yeah, I understand people hate me, I am banned everywhere, this is what I get for trying to educate people that just want to get rich quick without knowing the facts!
So you trade and do what is comfortable for you. If you are making money ignore everyone! Just keep stacking! I want people to make money..
I just hate when people are scammed/lied to.
I forgot yesterday morning. I had an order to buy DNUT at 12… It hit by end of day… I am also in 13.55.. These buys were because of a MCD roll out… Without an expected slow roll out by 2026 no way I would buy it! I checked weeks ago and the earnings are shakey. I checked the financials yesterday… They are ok, but 2-3 bad quarters and they are in trouble.. The sales are slowly growing 5-10% but they are just getting by, so a few bad quarters… But I want anyone that reads to follow my thesis and see why…
I don’t buy and pray… No hopium… Some people like to roll the dice… they should just say they are taking the risk..
I was a super bull on ZIM as it was 9 dollars because I could clearly see containers over 2,000. I posted DD on it… That was not risky to me! Especially under 10. GME and AMC is a pure gamble, you can make money but be prepared to lose it too.
I wish that retail could buy better quality stocks and that we could all make money safely… but I do not have that power…. They think Ryan Cohen, Adam Aron and Keith Gill are heros… people like who they like, trade what they will trade.. but when you shoot up a stock of a company in ruins
EXPECT!
Insiders to dump their own stakes. [Ryan is really dumb this way]
The company itself to dilute shareholders for money
Youd do it too!
PSEC Chairman and CEO who owns 65 million shares of the company. Who has had 0 salary for years goes in and buys 800,000 shares for 5.48 on May 10
th. This is right after earnings. That shows skin in the game.. yes, it is just 4.5 million dollars, but these were not vested options/warrants [Adam Aron never uses his own cash, its free shares!!] Insiders at PSEC own 30% of the company! SKIN IN THE GAME!
Yes, I wish retail would take PSEC to 6.25-6.50 fair value, and I do get frustrated when they buy junk like CVNA but I do not have the power.. CVNA insiders dumping left and right. I believe the CEO has sold over 300 million worth of CVNA over the last 90 days! 17% growth at CVNA, decent! But the company is worth at most, 20! AT MOST! There is a ton of risk!
5 Trade Ideas:
ACMR YOU – Both of these companies scored a 99 on my grading score for earnings. I have 1 block of ACMR at 25.45 and do not mind trading another block… No position in YOU , last trade was 17.50 to 18
PSEC – I have 2,000 shares at 5.50 and 2,000 at 5.90. I would like to trade these in blocks for 10-15 cents each, earnings were good, not great, but you wont get great from a BDC company, I have also been getting my 6 cent monthly dividend
CVS – I will keep trading this, fair value is near 70… I have a block at 84 from 2/2023 unfortunately…. Last trade 54.75 to 56
PERI – They will be coming to the auction, before the end of the month and will use the 75 million by June 30
th. I also have a block at 21.. But I will keep trading blocks
DNUT – I am in at 12 and 13.55, 1,000 shares each. I would like to make 25-50 cents on each trade, so I hope 12.25… My buys were strictly on the MCD roll out. I am in belief that with MCD sales will be up at least 25% when it is completed

I got the first dose and am wondering if all 3 doses are the same. I ask because I got the first dose at Planned Parenthood but it was a little higher in price than I thought it was going to be, since they charged an office visit. I think if I get it at walgreens or CVS it'll be about 100 less, but I want to make sure I'd be able to do that?

2024.05.14 07:56 pandemonious Insulin Aspart (novolog generic from Norodisk) is out of stock in a lot of places. I had to get namebrand Novolog today - wanted to share.
Hi all first post here really but I just wanted to make people aware of this coupon directly from the manufacturer's website that my provider actually recommended.
If I paid out of pocket for the Novolog, would have been ~$1200 for the 3 bottles. Cash prices with CVS discount card brought the 3 bottles down to ~$240.00.
Manufacturer card got me all three bottles for $99 out the door. I usually pay around $30-40 through my insurance for the generic.
This site ->
https://www.novocare.com/ lets you choose the product you are looking for and confirms your eligibility. It will cover if you have insurance, I believe you must have some commercial insurance for this. I may be mistaken.
Other insulin manufacturers probably have a similar program but I don't use Humalog anymore so I am unsure. But I think this is due to the law passed last year capping insulin prices.
Please let me know if links are not allowed, typing "novolog manufacturer discount" in google will provide the same result. Just wanted to share as this saved me literally hundreds of dollars.

2024.05.13 20:28 Final-Cover3277 Can I sue this insurance company?
My mom 53(f) has been struggling with her health these past couple years and has nerve related impairments in her lower extremities. We currently have one of AetnaCVSHealth’s gold plans for insurance.
They require a referral to see specialists. Every. Single. Time. You would assume that after going all the way to your PCP to get a referral the first time, any follow ups recommended by the specialist should be okay. However, this company will deny follow up appointments even as little as a week or two later — reported as follow ups to the insurance company— if there is no referral. I will get charged a $10 copay, and the insurance will fail to alert the hospital that a referral is required for coverage, leaving me having to pay for the full appointment on top of my $10. Specialist visits can cost upwards of $700 an hour for neurologists. I can understand if there has been a lot of time between visits or the visit isn’t technically a follow up but its getting to the point where we cant even schedule to view her test results without obtaining a referral first from her PCP which is absurd. We will have prescriptions for things like physical therapy from a specialist and they will not be covered by insurance if we dont go to our PCP first to get a referral from her as well.
They also will deny coverage if your providers are out of network however, their entire catalogue of in network providers is incorrect on their site. Im talking 80-90% whether its listing disconnected phone numbers, listing doctors that no longer accept the insurance, listing doctors that no longer operate at the mentioned address, listing the incorrect name of the healthcare institution, and so forth. This can make it extremely difficult to even get the right referral in the first place because they usually want the exact doctoprovider listed on the referral. Any variances can result in them denying your claim and charging you full price after making your copay.
They also deny surgeries and procedures even when they fall into their guidelines on what is considered “medically necessary”. It was so bad that the bille coder we were working with at the hospital expressed that this was the only insurance company that consistently denied quality of life surgeries. She even expressed to me that they tried to deny someone who needed brain surgery and would suffer a terrible quality of life without surgery (essentially vegetable state) because it wasnt technically necessary for them to survive… like yes you’d survive i guess but to what end?
They have no regard for the quality of life of their insurance holders and are consistently looking for ways to deny claims. I was wondering if there was any way to sue them for using these malicious tactics in order to keep themselves from having to cover pricey medical bills even when they should be covered based on their own parameters.
To my knowledge, aetna and cvs merged due to them both struggling to stay afloat financially, but if this is hindering them from offering reasonable healthcare they should NOT be allowed to participate in the marketplace. I also wanted to emphasize that this is our second year with them and it wasn’t nearly as difficult to use them last year (even with the incessant referrals) as it is this year. They seem to deny every other claim this time around.
Thank you in advance to anyone who may take the time to read and/or respond to this.
Edit: grammar, readability, and clarification.

2024.05.13 18:21 Bandeminers In your opinion, what's the most anti-employee policy?
What company wide, region wide, or district wide policies do you think are around for the sole purpose of making employee's lives more miserable.
For me it's not being able to take home damaged items. I'm not talking about items marked for donations or to be sent back to the warehouse. These are items that you're told to throw away in the dumpster. The only legitimate argument I've seen is that this would cause people to intentionally damage our items that they want, but I feel like this would be pretty easy to catch just by looking at cameras. Another argument is that this the employee then wouldn't need to purchase the items, taking away sales. This argument is especially dumb since there is no way that I'd pay the ridiculous markup CVS puts on its products. All I'm doing is saving myself a trip to another, more reasonably priced store

2024.05.13 17:46 Vigilant_Angel What do you think about CVS stock's recent drawdown? And dipping purely as a dividend play?
CVS Health Corporation (CVS) has faced significant headwinds recently, leading to a sharp decline in its stock price. Here are the key factors contributing to the drawdown:
Headwinds
- High medical costs and increased utilization rates in the company's health insurance business, resulting in an elevated medical benefits ratio of 90.4% in Q1 2024, compared to 84.6% a year earlier. This impacted profitability.
- Loss of a significant customer and associated memberships in the Health Care Benefits segment, although partially offset by gains in Medicare and Commercial memberships.
- Reduced guidance for 2024, with the company lowering its earnings expectations due to the higher-than-anticipated medical costs.
- Declining demand for COVID-19 related services and products, which had previously boosted revenues during the pandemic.
Tailwinds
- The acquisition of Signify Health is expected to drive revenue growth and expand CVS's value-based care delivery strategy.
- Strong revenue growth across all segments in 2022, with a 10.4% year-over-year increase to $322 billion.
- Robust free cash flow generation of $16.2 billion in 2022, yielding a cash flow margin of 3.74%, above the sector average.
- Solid performance in the Health Care Benefits segment, which saw a 10.9% year-over-year growth rate and a 6.54% operating margin in 2022, despite the loss of a significant customer.
- The healthcare services industry, in which CVS operates, is projected to experience a steady CAGR of 5.4% until 2027, providing growth opportunities.

2024.05.13 00:51 Back_t0_the_future Tax for specific product classes and cities. What does priority do? Tax on products below or above specific value. New York City clothing under $110
Some USA states have their own percentages on tax when it comes to clothing, accessories/handbags, and other specifics regarding total price for the item. In this case, can I add the specific sales tax on those type of categories? Which is the best way that would woocommerce would even know the difference of categories within our tax class list created?
Woocommerce>Settings>Tax>Tax options>Additional Tax Classes
Does this depend on the product details asigned via quick edit for the product's list choice under "tax class"? Do we have to make seprate tax rate table list for each type of category of items sold?!
It would be so nice to have the shipping tax class based on one outstanding CVS tax class table list file uploaded, but where could I find this? Are there any list available for each city and/or not just standard tax list for states? I rather avoid plugins. If one can be recommended, please list below. (I am concern that the plugin isn't updated as laws for taxes are always changed).
Would it be recommended to use the "Shipping tax class based on cart items" ? (Woocommerce>Settings>Tax>Tax options) This would then mean every single item listed must have the selected "addtional tax class list" applied to adapt the appropriate rate. Maybe this would help to then add "Display tax totals" as itemized with the "Tax Name" Column saying something likes Clothing Tax. This could help with taxes being more clear rather just a total of taxes listed with no clarifications? Honestly the customer doesn't care for the titles but the IRS definitely would probabl like to see this.
What does the Priority column do exactally? If the city tax is listed without the zipcodes, would this mean any items sold and shipped to any "New York" City zipcode would receive the correct 8.875% total? Or do I need to add each zipcode (which are just too many!)?
For example in New York City, sales tax is 4.875% but NY state has only 4% state tax, bringing it to a total of 8.875%. So it would make sense to have both taxes written under the same tax rate table list (ex. Woocommerce>Settings>Tax>Standards Rates). I would leave the priority 1, while the only different data would be the city listed. So my guess every sale regardless of zipcode under "New York" City should automatically get the extra 4.8755%, correct?
But the next issue would be, also in New York City, clothing items that are over $110 are tax but under will not be. How could we have something like this written in our tax lists? Where can I find a CVS file to upload with the latest 2024 tax list for USA regarding specific item classes for clothing, food, accessories, fine jewelry and other such specifics?

2024.05.12 16:17 Kylechs Has anyone ever used CVS Caremark benefits?
I was going to go to this clinic to get Spravato Treatment but the Nurse Practitioner was telling me the cost for each treatment is $4,700.00 out of pocket. I am not paying out of pocket. I am trying to use my Insurance benefits. I have BCBS NC Insurance that I get through my job. I am a Michigan resident. However, my Insurance has a separate pharmacy benefit called CVS Caremark which is what Spravato has to be authorized through. CVS Caremark even provided me a Spravato Authorization Number that my provider can call to start the authorization process. I wouldn't think it would be $4,700.00 after CVS Caremark processes it. I called CVS Caremark and they told me to look up the drug costs and the cost for 84mg of Spravato was $150.00 for in-network pharmacies. I also have the SpravatoWithMe Savings Card to knock the pay amount to $10.00 per treatment. The Nurse Practitioner tried to tell me that the savings card would only cover like two treatments because it's $8,158 for the year. The Nurse Practitioner was confusing me.
The Nurse Practitioner also recommended that I apply for State Insurance because I would get approved much quicker. She said having commercial insurance makes the process more complicated. My income is too high for state insurance. I make $16.85 per hour and work 32.5 hours per week.
I don't understand what's so complicated? I have a pharmacy benefit. The clinic has my medical records that show that I have tried at least 5 oral antidepressants that have failed to help. I don't understand why she won't just process my information. If it gets processed, it should only be $150.00 per treatment and with my savings card it should drop the price down to $10.00. I wanted to go to this clinic because they had a sliding pay scale that could have potentially knocked down the observation period price. However I have found another clinic 30 minutes away that also has a sliding scale. I may inquire about them since this clinic is making it more difficult.

2024.05.11 19:36 ElRamenKnight CVS telling me my health insurance's (Blue Cross Blue Shield of California) systems are in "maintenance mode" so it won't accept my presciption
Title. Got prescribed Ritalin, doc put in the order same day with my local pharmacy. Called yesterday and then again today, was told both times that every time they input my card info, it's showing maintenance mode on BCBS's end.
Is this normal?
EDIT: Tried calling their customer service line and only found out just now they don't do 24/7. I think that's just wild for how much they charge in premiums.
EDIT2: Yeah, that was a flop. The GoodRX quoted price was vastly lower than what CVS was quoting. About $55 vs about $18 by GoodRx.

2024.05.10 23:25 ChiSandy CVS "secure voicemail???"
So CVS has instituted a "secure voicemail system" in order to "ensure" our "privacy." Bullshit--it's to shut us up. Let me explain:
Used to be you had to navigate a complex (and repetitive) phone tree system to speak to a pharmacy team member. Took a long time on hold (with annoying music), sometimes getting cut off. But eventually we'd connect and explain or get to ask a question. No longer--now, when you select "speak to a pharmacy staff member," they make you leave a message (with insuffiient time to complete it) and promise to either "process your request" or "call you back."
I'm getting to the point where 2.5 might be losing its effectiveness, which is why my endo phoned in scripts for 5mg Zepbound and Mounjaro--whichever comes in first and is cheaper (MJ is $100 cheaper). Now, my prescriptions page on
cvs.com lists the 5 mg Zep as "out of stock and we're not able to get it. Call your pharmacy for options" Duh. But the MJ comes up as "Not Covered--This medication is not covered by your insurance. Call your pharmacy for options." I left the voicemail explaining I know Medicare doesn't cover it, I know what it costs out of pocket and I am willing & able to pay for it (as I've done in person previously).
First they responded by text, saying they're working on filling it and will text me when it's ready. Then they actually did call back to tell me they have to order it and that "it's in shortage." (Double duh). They said they will order it and will text me to let me know when it's in. I told them I know nobody keeps it in stock and that I know the drill; and reiterated that I know Medicare won't cover it, know the price, and can afford it.
Not holding my breath waiting for the text.

2024.05.10 19:30 macj97 CVS PHARMACY TIPS FOR PATIENTS
Here’s a list of things I think every patient/customer should know when getting a prescription filled at CVS. Please add more in the comments if you think of anything else:
HOW A PHARMACY ACTUALLY WORKS: * Doctor writes a prescription, they either hand a hardcopy to the patient or they send it to the pharmacy (via electronically or fax) * The patient comes to the Drop Off counter to hand over the prescription (still go to the drop off counter to confirm that a prescription is being worked on) * Patient goes to the Pick Up Counter to pay for their prescriptions * Any additional questions answered at the Consultation Counter
- ALWAYS go to Drop Off first. That’s where the computer is where they can look up patients.
- The Pickup Counter is for PICKING UP prescriptions only. It is only for looking up a Patient’s available prescriptions. They cannot see exactly why something is not ready.
- Based on the insurance they have on a file, the insurance is billed and a price gets sent back. They cannot change the price that the insurance gives them. SOMETIMES they can apply a discount card (like GoodRx) to get the price cheaper than with insurance, but USUALLY insurance is cheaper.
- If there are any problems with your prescriptions, go to Drop Off.
- PLEASE only use Drive-Thru for Pickup of prescriptions or Hardcopy Drop Off of prescriptions. Please come inside to the Drop Off counter if there are any other issues.
- DOUBLE-CHECK the address of the CVS that your doctor is sending prescriptions to. Some towns have more than 1 CVS location.
- Call your insurance company and doctor if you have been told you need a Prior Authorization (PA) for a prescription. They need to send a PA before it can be filled.
- January 1st is often the date where health insurance plans get updated. Check with your insurance to see if you have a new deductible or if there are changes to your Plan’s Drug Formulary.
- AGAIN, if there are any issues with your prescription (price, quantity, day supply, etc) GO TO THE DROP OFF COUNTER.
- If you’re in the Drive-Thru, don’t ask the person to get something from the front store for you.
- Sometimes health insurance can be frustrating. PLEASE DO NOT take this frustration out on the pharmacy. They are just trying to do their jobs. The computer system itself is complicated and the interactions with different health insurance companies and doctors often create problems, so please be patient.
- If you are not satisfied with a Pharmacy Technician, ask to speak to the Pharmacist or the Lead Technician.
- All CVS Pharmacy Locations close from 1:30PM to 2PM for lunch.
- If you are at an Urgent Care or Hospital and need a prescription, check the hours of your local CVS Pharmacies before it gets sent.
- Most CVS Pharmacies have a voicemail call system now. Be as detailed and specific as you can to describe what you need (including your name, phone number, and prescription name). There is a voicemail queue, so they try to call back everyone who leaves a voicemail within a few hours.

2024.05.10 16:28 EColli93 CVS undervalued at current price?
I owned this in the distant past, and sold all at almost the peak. I’m getting interested again, for the same reasons I was before.
They have missed earnings and the share price has toppled this year, but they still raised their dividend in February, currently yielding over 4%. Payout ratio is a healthy 46%. Low P/E. Price target looks like $65-68 right now.
I like them because they are expanding into home healthcare, which I think will be a growing area of business as boomers age and try to stay out of nursing homes.
I’m considering starting a new position if I can scrape up some cash.

2024.05.09 23:38 Federal-Locksmith Calling for an insulin refill every 28 days?
Is it normal for you to have to call your vet for an insulin refill every month? The pharmacy at our vet doesn't stock Insulin so they have to send the RX to our CVS. It's really a hassle to have to go through the vet's refill process every month. Is this normal?
EDIT: Shortly after making this post I called my vet's refill line and left a message that was like "Hey guys... he is going to have diabetes next month too. Is there any way we could just get a bunch of refills?" And then they called in 14 refills for me. I just needed to ask the right way I guess. Thanks everyone for the feedback!
Also, regarding the 28 day thing, we use the Lantus pen and we generally let it go a whole month (30 - 31 days) and it's not an issue. But we did have a scare at day 35-38ish one time. We noticed our guy was drinking a ton of water, was very tired, didn't want to eat, and had very bad dandruff all of a sudden. We rushed out and got a new pen and the next day he was totally fine. I'm sure that time the pen went bad. I feel like it's a dice roll. Ever since then we've been a little more careful about it. Especially since the feds put a $35 price cap on insulin.
