My girlfriend (26f) and I (27m) have been dating for about six months now. She has been my first real girlfriend ever and things were going great until something happened this past weekend that made me feel like crap.
For context I had asked all my other friends how long before they introduced their girlfriends to their family. They all said within a couple of weeks or a couple months. I date with intention, so to me if I’m introducing her to the family then it’s a serious relationship.
Anyways, she had previously met my mom and dad but long-story short, after 6 months I invited her to a family BBQ. (Keeping in mind I met her family and friends too previously).
Everyone loved her and things were great! It felt amazing to finally be able to bring a beautiful girl I cared about to the family. At some point during the BBQ, a family photographer wanted to take pictures of everyone, and of course she asks us to step out into the front yard where it’s more sunny and less shady. Literally no one else was in the front yard except us three. We began taking a couple pictures and then the lady taking the pictures asks us to do a kissing one. Of course my dumbass turns to my Gf and puckers up…she immediately turns away and mumbles uh uh no.
She actually refused to kiss me for a picture and wouldn’t say why. I played it cool and said nothing of it or asked why, but I could visibly tell it made her uncomfortable for some reason so I just moved on. Internally I felt embarrassed, disappointed and a little frustrated at her. This wasn’t like her at all. She was normally very mature, communicative and sexual. We would always kiss and have an active sex life.
I legit could not believe my GF of 6 months just refused to kiss me for a simple picture. Meanwhile I see my friends wives/GFs kiss them all time on Instagram and Facebook etc.
Am I overreacting or how would you all react to this situation?

Hi guys. I work in the oil and gas industry for an unnamed company. We're contracted to do different kinds of work; sometimes we'll do a rig up/rig down (swing sledge hammers, carry iron pipes etc, sometimes we'll work in pairs doing comparatively easier work at pads that are in production, sometimes Weedeating etc.
Anyways, two months ago (it was either the 17 or 18th) a few of us were doing an out of state rig down at a pad. Halfway through the first day, I'm carrying a ten-foot 2inch pipe as per usual, and the containment (think heavy duty plastic thing) I step in has been frosted over and my right leg goes outwards, and the rest of me goes down. I walk/limp it off. That night at the hotel room, I can barely get to the bathroom. I figured I'd pulled a muscle, and just assume that it would be better after I sleep and wake up. Nope.
My company took me off of the schedule for three weeks. Only after did they mention some kind of 'low earnings ' paperwork that they didn't mail me. Three weeks unpaid, I finally return to work thinking I'm all better and I'm not. It just starts to hurt more every day. I finally get talked into going to the ER. They do a cat scan and the doctor tells me that my L5 is herniated, my vascal lateralis muscles on both thighs are torn and strained. I take some more unpaid time off work. Finally see orthopedic, they scheduled me for physical therapy which was earlier today, and they're mentioning the same L5, thigh muscles and now something about things being out of alignment.
Anyways. My company doesn't care, and they haven't been able to commit to finding me 'light duty's jobs. I've never had an injury that has already lasted two months and more time to go.
What should I do? I'm not trying to get a welfare check in the mail, but I'm also not too prideful to just keep on 'sucking it up'. The last two months, every time I've come back to make up some hours, I always feel like my legs are worse off than before. Just earlier tonight I was using a broom handle as a walking stick to get to the bathroom.

Be warned: long rant
Is this even legal? I’m a double major and I had 4 in-person exams that week that all required prep (obviously). CalCentral said the exam would be on Friday then the prof gave us a 3-day notice that they’re going to post it on Sunday night then expect it back by Tuesday afternoon. I emailed them three times saying there was literally no way that was happening as I had exams back to back Mon-Thu, and finally got an extension until Thursday DURING MY EXAM out of them.
Worked on that shit for hours and hours over DAYS trying to finish it, and it eventually compromised two of my most important exams and still took over 20 hours to finish. Spent Wednesday night unwillingly doing 12+ hours of work ALL NIGHT (zero hours of sleep) and walked into my last exam sleep deprived, in physical pain, and having not eaten food for two days.
I made around 50 on the final for a class that I’d been making 95 or above on the ENTIRE semester, and looking at my graded answers, they are really obviously confused and slurred and they look as if I completed the exam while under the influence. I made a 99 raw score on the midterm and then an entire SD below average on the final. Actually ridiculous, but I have no clue what else I could have done better as I really believe my RRR and finals week were spent at max efficiency and it still could not accommodate a fuckign 20+ hour final exam during the week.
The description for the exam said it was “designed to not take over 3 hours”… It was 10 multiple choice, ten 150-word essays, two 400-word essays, and one 1000-word essay. THREE HOURS??????? Even if you used ChatGPT for half the exam it would have taken a normal person 10+ hours to finish. Moreover, the midterm was similar in structure and I received a 89 on it despite getting everything right for vague af reasons like “could use more analysis”. So it’s not even like they grade kindly.
How the fuck is this legal? I’m greatly upset about this because it pushed me down from an A+ in a class instantly to a B- or C+. There was absolutely no way to manage my time so as to avoid this. I emailed them early in RRR week to ask if I could actually complete the exam EARLY so as to avoid this, and they ignored me for 4 days and responded Monday morning, less than 24 hours to the deadline.
I really feel like there has to be something I can do about this. It might not have compromised people who only have humanities exams or projects due to spend an entire day finishing this, but that is not the case for me as I am a social sciences-STEM double major. It’s not even about the exam itself at a certain point, it’s the blatant failure to communicate on the instructor’s side, who told me they “thought this had been resolved already” four days late and initially tried to give like a 12-hour extension instead of until Thursday (which was still unreasonable considering I explained how I was fully and utterly booked until 6PM that day). No clue how others did not have a problem with this but I suppose most of them are not pursuing STEM with their degree.
This is really just a rant but holy hell, after a week of sleepless and foodless days I’m getting a C on my report card after getting 95–100 every single exam and assignment this semester in one class. wtf

My (18F) parents were never together and my dad never wanted kids. I was a mistake and I've always known that. I've always lived full time with my mom and rarely see my dad. He's from a wealthy family and he pays more child support than he has to and gives me a lot of money. He's never tried to build a relationship beyond throwing money at me and I've accepted that we'll never be close. My mom got married when I was 2. My stepdad has three kids (21M, 18F, and 17M) and they have four kids together (14M, 11M, 9F, and 6M). My mom doesn't work so money is tight sometimes. My mom is like my stepsiblings' real mom. Their dad has never been like my real dad. After they got married, they focused on creating their new life together and I didn't fit in their perfect family.
My stepsister and I were never able to build a relationship. When we were little, my dad would buy me better toys and sometimes I let SS play with me, but she would break or steal my things so I started to keep my stuff from my dad hidden. We were both too young to know better. Even as we got older, we never got closer. My mom prioritized my stepsiblings in very obvious ways and I was jealous of that. SS is jealous of the things my dad bought me. I've always had lots of new clothes, electronics, and makeup while she doesn't. She also has two loving parents while I have none. Our biggest fight was when we turned 16, my dad got me a car and threw me a big party. She said some very hurtful things. I now try to avoid her.
We're graduating this year. I'm valedictorian and got accepted to my dream school so I'm really happy. I'm having a big graduation party that my dad is paying for and he's buying me a new car. He's also paying for me to go to Europe with my friends. I'm moving out, so he's not paying my mom child support. His child support was essential for them. My mom will have to get a job and SS will have to help take care of the kids.
We had a senior sunset last Friday and SS and I had a huge fight. She called me a spoiled brat who constantly rubbed my fancy shit in her face while she had nothing and said that it's insensitive of me to leave and have fun in Europe for a month while she's stuck watching my mom's kids (she's MY mom now that SS can't be the coddled brat anymore). She said that I should at least share my grad party with her because she doesn't get one and I laughed at her. I told her no for obvious reasons. I did say it a bit rudely. She said that I use daddy's money to try and cope with the fact that nobody loves me and my mom likes her better than me. That hit hard. I blew up on her and called her an entitled bitch and said she doesn't deserve anything from me after stealing my mom and ruining my life. She started crying and left early. When I got home my mom said I'm being insensitive and if I can't control myself as an adult then I can't stay in her house either. I'm at my dad's right now and I don't plan to go back but I kind of feel bad. Did I say/do too much?

As the title says, I’m looking for a super old YouTube video. It’s vivid to me but I am not sure how to explain it to find it on YouTube.
Basically it’s like a parody video based in like china/japan and it’s some guy going throughout town using random abilities. One of the most memorable things was him mounting his Dawnsaber mount and it’s not a dawnsaber it’s a bicycle and he’s like at a bus stop and it’s literally a video of a dude at a bus stop with the mount animation/cast bar on the screen. I have an honest question and am trying to understand. I am a fifty something gay asexual who likes to paint my nails and dye my hair. I have come to believe that gender expression is a social construct, hell high heels where originally for men. So, assuming that, how does one who is born biologically one sex come to determine they should be another sex? If you where born female, how do you realize you are actually male and not a "tom boy" or a woman who likes traditionally male clothing? If you where born male how do you come to the conclusion that you are not a guy who likes dresses but an actual woman? And if you are agender, how is that different from me deciding that I want to wear a tie and be dressy today and tomorrow wanting to wear a T-shirt? I will always use whatever pronouns you choose. I am just curious about the thought process. The psychology of the process I find interesting.

Hi guys, I'm intermediate-level self-taught python user.
I'm trying to control the contents of a text box in a Windows program called 'Dragon Medical One' (a transcription software) using Python. I want to retrieve text from the box, clear the contents, and minimize/maximize it.
Using pywinauto, win32gui, and win32con libraries I have only been able to type_keys() to the box but can't seem to access any of its controls otherwise, even after trying all of the listed/nested controls iteratively.
Is there another library (or maybe another language) that I could use to achieve this? I am not looking at click/typing automation like with pyautogui (because clicks fail from time to time and I'm looking for speed and accuracy). Is it possible that some programs are just inaccessible?

David, a freakishly cunning psychopath, leading a group of violent cannibals. Willing to murder a child in cold blood, and perhaps worse than that. At best, his actions can be seen as revenge for what Joel did to his friends, at worst, well, we don’t need to go there.
And lastly Joel. Joel’s actions may seem heroic from his perspective, but from the rest of the world’s eyes, he could easily be painted as the worst of them all. A mass murderer with body counts in the hundreds, a man who possibly doomed the entirety of mankind with one selfish act.

Issues Im facing,
I have had several games constantly crash after however much time of playing or instantly. These games include but are not limited to Fortnite(sometimes bluescreens and normal crashes), R6(sometimes blue screen and normal crashes), GTAV, Borderlands 2, Sims 4, Rust, and COD. Now for games that don't crash are Valheim, Minecraft, Rocket League, Dying Light, and Borderlands 3.
My CPU I believe is the issue as this happened when I built my new PC. My old ryzen 7 and mobo went to the gutter as they fried. So I built the PC I have now and the ram and GPU are the same. The I9 will get to 100C on stress test while only getting a score of 12500ish Marks. It will get all three errors depending on what settings I am using but the main one that will show up no matter what my settings are changed to is the Thermal Throttling.
What Ive done,
I just fixed my cooling being set as a watercooler for some reason so I changed it to a tower cooler. I have tried every game fix I have found on google so I don't believe it has to do with the games themselves but my hardware instead but I'm not 100% as everyone knows things can always be finicky, but I doubt that many games would have issues related to themselves and not hardware. I have tried many different settings in my Intel ETU. I ran memtest several times and had no ram issues as well. I am willing to try anything at this point as the crashing of games has gotten to be very obnoxious and out right have me stop playing some of them.
Please help me in anyway, I can try anything and will add more pictures or information as needed ( not sure really whats needed as this is my first post). Thankyou for your help!

Hey y’all. I’m a SPURS fan, pretty much since I was born. I’m not fully English, and I wasn’t raised in the UK, but my mum’s from London, and that whole side of the family are Tottenham fans. In the country where I grew up at, and where I live until now, football is years behind, and of very low quality. As a result, I would always watch Prem matches, and would support SPURS, due to my mum (I’m 23 now, began watching during the League Cup victory era). I’ve also come to the stadium like 20-25 times in my lifespan (The Lane and the new ground, even went to one game at Wembley), and I’m now starting to follow the ladies’ side, too, so I 100% have understood what the club culture is, what this football club means to the fans, by multiple conversations, and engaging with them a lot. SPURS is pretty much a huge part of my life, and I’d never stop supporting this beautiful club.
What has happened these days, with us, Arsenal and Man City has entirely disappointed me. I know how much most of our fanbase hates Arsenal, but come on guys. Wanting to lose, so that they don’t win the league? That seems pathetic to me. They’ve been making fun of us for not winning anything over the years, for bottling any lead and stuff, but I think not a single SPURS fan loves the club because of the trophies and the triumphs. We love it and always support it, no matter what, because it is unique, and has a culture and identity that no other football team around the globe has. So, they’ve been making fun of us for all the wrong reasons, and now we’re giving them an actual opportunity to call us tinpot? Due to hatred for a club in red kits, not too far away from us? That’s pathetic to me.
I’m frustrated every time we lose, and this time is no exception. I remember our great moments in the Champions League, with the anthem, those Bale and Lucas performances and goals, and I’d die to live something similar, with Ange on the wheel. I’d NEVER celebrate a loss, or just “be a little less sad about it”, just because we didn’t help Arsenal. I don’t give a damn about them, never did. We play for ourselves, and that’s the way it should be.

With the edition of the three new music discs making most music machines don’t hold the fifteen good music discs in the game, due to hoppers prioritizing the left most slot you need a larger machine to fit all the discs, however I can’t seem to get one working.
I attempted a dropper line to manually separate and loop them, however the discs keep jumping and I end up with them backing up due to the randomness due to how the dropper works. Anyone have a machine that fixes these issues?

I (22F) live abroad for my studies. I am going back home for my summer vacations in a week. So last year when I went back home something traumatic happened. I’m in a relationship with (22M) a guy since almost 3 years now. Last year when I went back home his mom got to know about us and eventually ended up telling my parents. They were all against it. We still thought of staying together and hiding it but somehow they got to know again. We were in the worst situation possible. My parents were mad at me, said the worst stuff to me, I had a panic attack in front of them and all in all that night was pretty traumatic. They are the best set of parents one could get but that night was just too messy. Now we are still together because there was never really anything wrong between us, and it was ldr so easy to hide as well. Our parents were just against because of age and career. All in all i still get flashes of all those events and what if it repeats. I’m extremely scared. I just needed to vent it out and talk to people who have experienced anything similar.

Am I the only one who’s just heard this now? I went on a random Eminem interview spree this evening and came across this.
There was a period of time where I found Em’s answers to be kinda generic and he’s too on the fence (he is in this one too), but these guys are asking questions I was genuinely interested in hearing his answers to, like why he hasn’t done a song with Premo / Pete Rock yet, which beat he prefers between Ether and Takeover, just cool Hip Hop shit like that (his answers aren’t all that satisfying tbh).

in the season 3 trailer, we obviously saw boyd get restrained by several monsters. one that stood out was a guy in brown who looks like he could be some type of professor. we all seemed to think he was new but i believe i saw him after rewatching. it was the scene where elgin went to the van trying to drive ellis to the clinic after getting stabbed (s2 e6). the professor in that scene had glasses, whereas in the trailer he did not. i am very confident it was him, which would mean the professor is not a new monster and not a replacement for smiley
