Hello! I'm a 35/F in Canada, with a history of mild asthma. Non-smoker In early March I got strep throat - doc never did a swab but my tonsils were swollen & patchy white/black. She gave me amoxicillin and that helped. 2 weeks later I could feel something brewing in my chest, I tried to fight it on my own but ended up stopping by a pharmacy where he gave me salbutamol + 5 days of prednisone. That kind of helped, so I ended up at the hospital because of thr weight on my chest. Chest xrays came back clear, that doc gave me amoxicillin again and the round purple inhaler, advair. Went back to the hospital a week later. Doc took blood work, everything was normal (rbc was slightly elevated but was never mentioned) I was still coughing up phlegm, I couldn't sleep on my right side or I could feel the weight of my chest and start coughing again. Mid-April things finally started getting slightly better, but then they seemed to go back to square one a week later. I've been to the hospital + a clinic x2 now, got an EKG done it was normal....got more prednisone and was told to double up on the advair. Takes the edge off but it's not helping overall. A repeat xray last week showed nothing
Now in May I'm still coughing - seems dry during the day and wet at night, I can only sleep on my stomach or sitting up but wake up constantly coughing. If I lie on my side I get a bad wet cough that makes me feel like I'm choking. Sometimes I cough so hard I puke, or I can't seem to hold my bladder or I get pain behind my left eye..like a Charlie horse but in my eye. My chest hurts, my throat is sore from all the coughing. Same with my stomach muscles. When I take a breath in, I can feel pain on my right side/right lung?. If I turn my neck, lean forward, hiccup etc I start coughing again.
At night I take 2 puffs of salbutamol, 2 puffs of advair, an allergra, nasal spray and 2 tablespoons of benelyn and a tea with honey to help a scratchy throat
I go back to see the clinic dr today, I'm miserable.

So, yesterday I finally finished watching all 13 of the X-Men movies for the first time, (well, first time for most of them), a herculean task that took up two weeks and had me scratching my head multiple times whenever a character was played by a new actor who looked absolutely nothing like their previous actor. Anyway, here's what I thought about the films. I'm going to give my thoughts on each film first, and then rank them in order from best to worst.
X-Men: Not the best movie in the series, a bit dumb and silly perhaps, but it works as a good first entry in the series. Wolverine's introduction is great and Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are at the top of their game as always. I didn't much care for some of the other characters like Rogue and Storm's pseudo-African accent was horrific. The special effects also aren't that good. Not that it's a bad movie or anything, I liked it just fine.
X2: About equal with the first film for me, or perhaps a little bit better. Parts of it felt a bit overlong and boring, but for the most part it was a solid sequel. I don't have a whole lot to say about this one as I didn't find it to be the most memorable film in the series, but it was pretty good.
X-Men: The Last Stand: I'll be real with you all, I don't hate this movie nearly as much as everyone else does. In fact, I might even enjoy it more than the first two movies. Yeah, they kind of butchered the Phoenix Saga, and they killed off a bunch of characters, but at least it's fun and enjoyable and it has some good parts. The scene with the kid cutting off his wings was really memorable to me, and Kelsey Grammer's Beast was perfect. The digitally de-aged Xavier and Magneto in the opening scene was absolutely terrifying, though. And I would've preferred Rogue keeping her powers at the end.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Another film that I don't hate as much as everyone else does. Wolverine was always my favorite character (big surprise there), so seeing a whole movie about him was pretty nice. I found the film to be pretty interesting, and there was nothing terribly wrong with it as far as I could see. Yeah, they butchered Deadpool, but that didn't really matter to me as I've never read any of the comics, and besides, if you look at it as a different character, it's not as bad. Wolverine's backstory was pretty interesting, and I thought it was mostly good overall. I also think it's quite a bit better than "The Wolverine".
X-Men: First Class: The first one that I find to be a really good movie overall. This one feels a bit different from the previous films and I feel like they were striving to be more comic-accurate, which I think worked out nicely. The story is compelling, the acting is really good, and the effects are great too. This is the first one where you really get attached to the characters and I think it's easier to like than the previous movies. I also thought that the new actors did a good job with their characters (well, except for Jennifer Lawrence), even though none of them looked much like the original actors. Obviously Wolverine telling Xavier to fuck off was the best part, of course.
The Wolverine: One of my least favorite films in the series, despite the fact that it's not actually that bad and is a totally passable movie overall. I just found it boring. I think everything up to when Logan leaves and goes to Japan is really interesting, especially the flashback to World War II with him surviving the atomic bomb, and the parts in Canada were enjoyable too (unless I'm just being biased because I'm from Canada too). But once he went to Japan and we got the story about some old man and his daughter and blah blah blah, it just kind of became boring. The part about Wolverine losing his powers temporarily was fascinating, and I liked when he lost his adamantium claws and got the bone claws again, but then they just undid it by the next film. The mid-credits scene is probably the best part to be honest, because at least it has two of my favorite characters in it.
X-Men: Days of Future Past: My favorite movie on the list so far. I enjoyed the idea of having both the older and younger casts in the same film, and seeing them alongside each other actually made me care for the younger actors more than before. I also really liked the story and found it to be easily the most interesting movie up to this point. Much as I may have enjoyed The Last Stand, I was glad they retconned it, and seeing all the characters alive and well at the end made me very happy. It was also clever how they reset the timeline so that the later movies with the younger cast wouldn't have to be prequels to the original trilogy anymore, only prequels to the last scene of this movie. Overall, a good movie and also a great finale to the series (if they hadn't made six more, that is).
Deadpool: Barely an X-Men movie, but that's okay because it's a good movie on its own, and definitely very unique among superhero movies. It isn't often that you see a superhero movie that's entirely comedic (though the MCU has definitely flirted with comedy on occasion), and even less often that you see it done really well. While I didn't actually find many of the jokes to be all that funny, just seeing a superhero movie full of wall-to-wall jokes that are actually well-written and clever was very nice. The fourth-wall breaking was my absolute favorite part, as every instance of it was done very well. I also enjoyed the raunchy humor that you would never see in an MCU movie (well, until two months from now). As I said, it doesn't have that much connection to the X-Men series, apart from Ryan Reynolds KIND OF reprising his role from Origins, but that doesn't matter in the long run.
X-Men: Apocalypse: Really not a good movie at all. Like The Wolverine, this one was mostly boring and dull. I couldn't care for any of the characters and I felt that it wasn't very well-written. The Wolverine cameo was my favorite part but that even that didn't make much sense and could have been done better. The main villain wasn't very interesting and also wasn't nearly intimidating enough (probably due to his height), and the ridiculous way they made Xavier lose his hair was way too goofy for me (they couldn't just have him lose it naturally in between films?) Quicksilver was the best thing in the movie.
Logan: Unsurprisingly, I found this to be the best movie in the series. Not necessarily the one I personally enjoyed the most, but it was absolutely the best movie and also one of the best superhero movies I've ever seen (and I've seen about 80!) I'd put this almost up there with The Dark Knight on the totem pole of genuinely great superhero flicks. They really took advantage of the R-rating, and in a very different way from Deadpool too. This was probably Patrick Stewart's best acting in the whole franchise too. It kind of depressed me with how bleak it was, especially the way it undoes the ending of Days of Future Past with the reveal that Jean, Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Rogue, and the rest died unceremoniously between films, but I understand that was necessary for the story. I wish this wasn't Wolverine's final role in the series and - oh, wait, it's not? Um, okay. Hope they don't screw it up when they resurrect him for Deadpool & Wolverine.
Deadpool 2: Another really solid movie, and definitely the same in terms of quality as the first Deadpool film, though that's also the reason why I would rank it a little lower, as it didn't do too much that was new or original anymore. With that said, it's really funny, perhaps even funnier than the first one, and it definitely has its moments. I really like Josh Brolin's Cable, and unlike some people, I don't have any problems with Vanessa's death since it was merely the set-up to the absolutely funniest joke in both films. That's right, the best stuff here is the time travel part during the credits, which is absolute gold. Could have done without the chubby Kiwi kid, I wanted to reach through the screen and strangle him the entire time, but I guess that's the point. I loved the X-Men cameo (despite the fact that they definitely should have had the older cast instead for it to make sense).
X-Men: Dark Phoenix: Another bad one, though I wouldn't necessarily rank it any lower than Apocalypse in terms of quality. Like that film, this one is boring and just feels unnecessary, plus there's the fact that as before, the characters aren't very interesting. I also didn't like the fact that they were adapting a story they already tackled in the third film when they could have done something new as well. The villain was uninteresting and Jean was even more so. Plus, this time there's no Wolverine cameo and no glorified music video starring Quicksilver! Shameful! And they killed Mystique - but never mind, I didn't like the second version of her. I was also going to complain about them killing Jean, when she turns up alive and well in the last scene of Days of Future Past which is in the same timeline, but then I noticed that firebird thing in the sky while Xavier and Magneto are playing chess in the last scene, which I suppose is her coming back to life.
The New Mutants: Fuck this movie. Seriously, fuck this movie. I genuinely cannot believe that this is the last movie in the X-Men franchise. Good thing that in two months we're getting another one to make up for this shitshow. But then again, perhaps that doesn't matter, because this ISN'T AN X-MEN MOVIE! That's right, not a single character from any of the previous films appears, and it barely has any connection to the X-Men series at all apart from featuring kids with superpowers. In fact, it's not even a superhero film, because it's way too fucking concerned with being a teen drama, watered-down horror film, and inexplicable lesbian romance film. I repeat, fuck this damn movie! Everything up until the giant fucking demon bear monster showed up was boring as hell, and then it got kind of interesting, but also way too goofy for me to enjoy. It was like a totally different movie took over! I don't hate this film or anything, but I didn't like it much and I'm probably not going to watch it again unless it turns out to be absolutely relevant to the plot of Deadpool 4: Let's Fuck with the Timeline Some More Just for Shits and Giggles.

• You guys are wrong when you refer to the 12th movie as simply "Dark Phoenix". The full title is "X-Men: Dark Phoenix", because that's what it says in the credits of the actual movie. The poster doesn't matter.
  
• Was there any actual reason for Bolivar Trask to have dwarfism in Days of Future Past? They never even mentioned it and it was just distracting.
  
• None of the younger actors look anything like the older actors, but Michael Fassbender looks so little like Ian McKellen that I can't even fathom how we're supposed to think these two are the same character.
  
• Younger Mystique sucks.
  
• Younger Storm sucks.
  
• Both versions of Cyclops suck.
  
• Wolverine dying sucks.
  
• Apocalypse sucks.

Hello,
Got my wife a 2024 BMW X2 28i here in western Canada. It has an M sport package (not blacked out M sport pro) and it shows on door sills, steering wheel, etc the M logo.
I'm just curious if the M sport package is supposed to have the small M badges in the front fenders?
It's not a big deal and I know it's a poor man's M car if you can even call it that but my OCD has me curious if they forgot to put those on.

Hi folks. Twenty year public servant here. I've worked in a great job at a great site for the past two years. I was successful in a competition for a level I'd been acting in for 4½ years at my previous site. So I packed up and headed out.
Problem is - my wife lost a parent in our home province the first year of the new job (during relocation, very difficult). Second year was better. Then she lost another parent at beginning of third season. Incredibly difficult. She is falling apart.
So she needs to be close to family and wants us to move back. I have an offer from the government of my home province. Less money but a great landing pad, so to speak.
I don't want to give up my indeterminate number for obvious reasons. I want to work with my agency again; but I'd be scouring opportunities in my home province for internal competitions. I want 1- year LWOP to make this transition, but it'd have to begin in about three weeks from now. Yikes.
I have small-a approved leave for my own reports (has to go up the line of course) for folks who wanted leaves of three months or one year. I am always open to it and have granted it around five times. I have even had a manager take a year leave (with relatively short notice to our team).
TL:DR what are my chances at getting year-long LWOP approved beginning three weeks from now?
UPDATE I have mentioned it to my manager and HR (i have not submitted the leave form yet), and their understanding was that it was for a spouse's WORK relocation - and that it could be turned down. UPDATE x2 I submitted the leave request yesterday - yikes. After manager and HR both suggested this leave is contingent on an offer of employment to spouse, HR now confirms this is not the case. I await news on "approval" after I explained I understood this leave is not discretionary, or contingent on operational requirements; HR initially suggested that this leave can be denied.

Hey everyone, new here but in desperate need of help.
I have a 2008 E90 335i manual with the N54 and the MSD80.
Been having the classic misfire issue but at the wits end trying to get this fixed.
I was initially getting 30BB codes and investigated the MOSFETS on the DME. Ended up replacing all 6 with ones from a BMW performance parts supplier I am drawing a blank on, either way they were the 'upgraded' ones. Was also showing injector cyl 1-3 faults as well. Whatever, got them installed and can ran better for short while and I mean like 15-20 min running tests up and down my street then the misfire was back. Since I did the 'cheap' thing first I decided to just get 3 new injectors and install them. Got them all in and coded, fired it up with my fingers crossed and nope, still misfiring. After a few hair pulls and choice words later I decided to just do all the pugs just incase. No change. Ended up trying to drive around clearing the codes with IMPA (which made it run TOTALLY FINE for a few min) just to collect data and see if I could find some values going nuts. Didnt find anything, but the car ended up straight up dying and would not start again. One quick tow home later I was getting 30BB codes again. Pulled the DME and found 2 of the new MOSFETS were dead (continuity between middle and side post).... so I replaced them all again just to be safe but this time also all the coil packs with boshe replacements as I heard bad ones can knock out MOSFETS. Get that all replaced and got running again but still misfiring. So I have no replaced all plugs, coils and MOSFETS(x2) and 3 of the injectors that went into cyl 4-6 (coded ect).
So, now she sits in a state of being TOTALLY fine when driving around at low engine loads. Can string it out to whatever RPM I want as long as were not pushing boost basically. If I WOT and build boost, mid pull it codes out and go limp. If I drive around like a grandma, not a hiccup. I can feel a mini misfire that isnt recoded at idle time to time and somtimes on cold start itll misfire and throw codes right off the bat. No if I clear the codes or cycle the ignition its fine and fire right back up until you hit boost again basically.
I only once saw 3100 for boost pressure control but everything else has been the same as below. I have seen every cyl recorded BUT 1 and 5. 2,3,4 and 6 have all throw this same code just insert cyl number on this boost cut limp mode.
I have tested continuity to all the injectors to the DME and they are all fine (are the wiring is visually perfect as well.)
Please help. Wondering if there is some adaptation I need to reset, or other tests I can to narrow this down. Maybe a grounding issue? I'm so lost.
The closest BMW dealer is 7hour drive over like 5 mountain passes here in BC Canada. I am my only hope.

* 64GB of RAM and 16GB of VRAM are both hugely useful at this point given the amount of 6k-8k workflows I need to work with on the regular, and the amount of video edit layers. I'm routinely using ~28-30gb of RAM and being bottlenecked by my current 8GB of VRAM a bit these days. Intel and NVidia tend to play just slightly nicer with the video editing software I use, too. Only other note is that the build feeds an unusual number of monitors (2x daisychained displayport monitors, and two HDTVs via HDMI - though only one of the HDTVs is active at a time.) Otherwise, nothing out-of-the-ordinary.
